My husband and I stayed two nights on the floating inn while visiting our friends in Port Alberni. It was out of curiosity that I booked this floating B&B. What a uniquely awesome experience we had! Daniel and Bouchra are caring friendly hosts who are passionate about what they do. Bouchra even accommodated our request to make dinner for us and our 3 local friends on her otherwise off day! She explained all the ingredients and spices she used on her delicious and healthy dishes, she truly cooked with her heart. The room was small but the beds were comfortable. Swept Away Inn is a hidden gem, we will for sure return again.

The staff was wonderful ! So kind and helpful while in a stressful situation due to the wildfire and road closure. They went above and beyond the usual . It was the quietest Best Western ever. It must have thick soundproofing between the rooms.

The hosts Milly and Bill were very friendly and also offered both dinner and breakfast as part of the stay and both meals were exceptional. It was good to meet two other couples staying at the same time and we had some good discussions over meals. Bill also suggested interesting places to visit around Port Alberni.

It was a very quaint and cozy. Clever use of the space and property. I also loved waking up in the morning to go outside with my cup of coffee to listen to the crickets, very serene. You are about 20 mins away from the town center up a hill.

It was fine. I think the best part was the sushi restaurant being right next door to us. Would have been nicer if they stayed open later though.
