Great restaurants within walking distance from Best Western Plus Chateau ! Beautiful beach and great to walk out so far and not be deep. Favourite restaurants- #1 - 2nd Wind. Brewed own beer. Fish burger, balsamic onions and fish burger DELICIOUS! 2 - Bamboo Hut - huge variety of dishes 3 - Sun of a Beach - great calamari dish 4 - Sandcastle Steakhouse - flavourful steak Go to the MOO for ice cream! Variety ice creams and many more sweet treats. Delano Nails did an amazing pedicure! Sweet staff; good prices. Great little shops! The light house at night is a must see ! It was freezing with ice on the lake and snowing in late April and I had to buy gloves and socks. The location is lovely in summer but spring is iffy and a lot of stores were not open and if I had not had the group event I would have been bored and underwelmed with scenery, a person needs to go in summer to appreciate this place.Guest review byElviraCanada - 10.0

Breathtaking views. Wonderful playground. Large washrooms/changing rooms available. Friendly people. Restaurants available nearby with varied menu options. Sylvan Lake is a friendly and beautiful place to visit. The lake is so clear and clean with a nicely developed beach area along side a well developed commercial area. There are boutiques and diners, roof top pubs and ice-cream shops. There is something for everyone.Guest review byDebbyCanada - 10.0
Sylvan Lake... one of my very favourite places!
Sylvan Lake... one of my very favourite places! Just be sure to come early to stake your claim on the beach if you want a spot. I enjoy that I can walk my dog around the paths by the lake and take it all in! :)Guest review byKimberlyCanada - 10.0
Sylvan Lake is a wonderful place!
Sylvan Lake is a wonderful place! I have been coming here forever... so many great memories! This is an easily accessible lake town that is still as much fun now as it was when I was kid! 10/10 for me... always! :) I ate at the Hockey Central Pub and Bukwyldz as they both have dog-friendly patios... Moo's is also good too for ice cream... and of course the Dairy Queen for a sundae! Sylvan Lake is easy to get around and take in the Farmers' Market because it is excellent! Avoid heavy crowds over the summer months. I prefer to book in the Spring or Fall. Quiet is what I am after! :)Guest review byKimberlyCanada
