The area surrounded by te mountains and waterfalls is amazing. I liked that the hotel was easy to acces from Lauterbrunnen by bus. The older staff might seem grumpy, but actually they are nice and helpfull if you can see through that demeanor. The young woman on breakfast duty was always nice with a friendly welcoming attitude. The chalet is located at the end of the road in Stechelberg, so you don't have much traffic. The hotel restaurant is about 50m from the chalet. The chalet itself has a terrace with unbeatable panoramic view of the mountains including Breithorn. This is an ideal place for relaxation or hiking or both.
