The hostess went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. We had to get up very early in the morning and didn't really expect breakfast even though it's included in the booking. However, the hostess got up even earlier than us and prepared toast, coffee, and egg in the kitchen for everyone. What a lovely way to start our day!

Staff and location

From the minute you step into the courtyard of this guesthouse you feel relaxed. It is a perfect little haven to escape. Maggie and her family are so kind and welcoming - they bent over backwards to help me with excellent recommendations and lent me one of their bikes to cycle to Shuhe ☺️ (I don’t think the bike could have gone any further than 20mins but it was a lovely way to see the countryside!) Maggie also gave me a wonderful recommendation of a guesthouse to stay in Xiānggélǐlā and a stunning day hike to Abuji Lake. Highlights of my holiday. Thank you Maggie!

Service at the Pullman Lijiang was fantastic! Emily at the front desk went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed! She checked on us throughout our stay making sure we had even we needed and even inquiring if we needed breakfast delivered to our room. She even put together a safe trip package for us when we were leaving to go home which included a mask, antibacterial wipes etc. We would without a doubt stay there again. This was our first time at a Pullman Hotel but definitely will not be our last!

The view from our room was stunning. The staff at Tibet Guest House were super helpful and kind. They helped us book a bus ticket and even gave us a ride back to the bus stop. I would love to stay here again.

it was warm . the floor with heating makes it really comfortable. the bathtub was huge . it is really quiet , like deadly quiet .

It was a wonderful stay at the Banyan Tree in Lijiang. The villa was spacious, beds comfortable (but pillows could have been firmer, was rather floppy and soft), and all the bathroom amenities were great. My kids loved the netted playground area and we hung out there 3 times during our stay, despite the cold temperatures. The view of Yulong snow mountain from the villa was amazing. We loved the biscuits and fruit that were given during the turn down service. We ate at the Chinese restaurant twice and the food was very good. We liked that the hotel is so closely located to Shuhe Guzhen where we could shop and have our meals. It's amazing that there are craft coffee joints in all the old towns we visited. Between the hotel and Shuhe Guzhen are also many mini markets and also a fruit shop where we stopped by to get fruit twice. There was a wide selection of fruit, some we had not tried before. What made the experience an even warmer one was William, who helped us with our airport transfers, picking us up from the airport and sending us off. We left very early the morning of our departure, and he made arrangements to have pastries, fruit and yoghurt packed for us on the ride to the airport. He also took us on 2 day trips, one to the Yu Long Snow mountains and one to the Tiger Leaping Gorge. He brought us around and even thought of things that my 2 kids would like to do on top of our planned excursion. He took us to one of the wetlands to feed seagulls and the kids absolutely loved it. On the day we watched the Lijiang Impressions show, it was snowing and hailing, and William made sure we were properly covered in the rain coats before he left us to watch the show. So thank you to the Banyan Tree Lijiang and William for making our stay such a memorable one.
