Super great value. Got picked up from the beach after the boat ride from Sierpe, which they booked for us. They also booked a jungle tour for us. View from the massive balcony was great, good sized bathroom and bed and breakfast was lovely. Can't fault this place. Thumbs up

We loved everything about the Natural Drake Bay Hotel! The hotel is newly renovated and run by the most amazing local family, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The room, facilities, and food were top-notch. We've been to Costa Rica several times, and this place is, by far, one of our favorites. We saw almost as much wildlife on the hotel grounds as we did during our tour of Corcovado!

We were looking to stay in an open cabin to feel close to then jungle, with friendly people, and this was exactly that. You wakeup to Tucans, parrots, sounds of howling monkeys, and a family of capuchins (20) visited the cabins while we were there (photos from the site). The site has a few cabins and a common area with a shared large kitchen. You can also order meals if you didn't want to cook yourself (breakfast/lunch/dinner). The location is surrounded by jungle, 10 minutes before Drake Bay downtown. You need a 4x4 to drive to Drake Bay from Uvita. The road to the cabins from the main street was good, no steep inclines and parking is easy. Erikson and his family were extremely friendly and helpful. When we had car issues, he was happy to help. His mom made tasty meals. Everyone was really attentive. They also have laundry service. Erikson can help you book tours, such as Corcovado. It was a perfect stay in the middle of the jungle surrounded by nicest people for 4 nights!!

Our family just wrapped up a 3 night stay at Hidden Paradise lodge and it was a dream. Beautiful, authentic and just perfect for what we wanted as a family. The staff are so kind, attentive, helpful and true pura vida vibes. We loved every breakfast and dinner so much. The pool was fabulous! Mariela, Jorge and Ryan helped us organize our day trips and we were extremely pleased!! We will be back!

It was clean, the staff was friendly, the room was private, and the hammocks on our private porch were so relaxing. Happy hour at the pool was a great way to finish a busy day of hiking. The pool was always fairly quiet because there are not a ton of rooms at the location.

Well maintained rooms and grounds. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Very clean. Spacious. 2 overhead fans plus a standing fan so we slept very well at night, never too hot. Large overhead roof so we could sit outside on our deck even in the heaviest rain. Coffee pot in room. Remember to plan to bring drinking water from the dining room. Food was amazing! 3 choices for lunch and dinner. Breakfast was ordered off the menu. Staff were very friendly and attentive. We happened to be in a “family room” which included a hammock and large table and chairs on the deck. We stayed in Room 1. I highly recommend it. There are many steps to climb from the center of the resort and room 1 and 2 reached first. You MUST be able to climb steps.

    Central location, comfortable room.

    Central location, comfortable room. The pool was really lovely to sit near and relax, cool off. Staff was exceptional and helpful in all manners. Receptionist helped me book all of my activities and was super accommodating. The restaurant staff were so friendly, and even remembered my name after I came a few times. Very convenient to have on site. It had everything I coud want and price was reasonable. I already want to go back and will book there again.

    It was very remote.

    It was very remote. We spent three nights there and enjoyed early active mornings and chill afternoons with an early dinner and bedtimes. There's not much to do at night which was fine by us. We loved watching the town wake up in the morning. We went diving at Cano Island and loved the turtles and all of the varieties of fish. The water was so clear when we went, it was one of the better diving experiences in Costa Rica so far!

    Fantastic stay.

    Fantastic stay. Exactly as described except wifi didn't work in our room, we had to go to the office/breakfast area to use it. The views from the room were spectacular overlooking Drake Bay. We had daily visits from capuchins, macaws, parrots, hummingbirds, etc The beds were comfortable as were the chairs and hammocks on the porch. Handrails going up the steep tire steps to the room would have been helpful. The owner went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious and made to order.

    Great place to stay if you want to visit Corcovado national...

    Great place to stay if you want to visit Corcovado national park. Not only Corcovado is worthwhile but Drake Bay itself as well. I would recommend taking the boat from Sierpe to Drake Bay as it’s very convenient and the boat ride is extremely scenic!

    Very nice peaceful place, at the grounds of a friendly costarican family, right on the edge of the rainforest. Beautiful Ganadito beach is at walking distance. The cabin where we slept was new and fine.

    The flora and fauna of adjacent parks is amazing but you...

    The flora and fauna of adjacent parks is amazing but you must visit them with a guide for the appropriate access and to really appreciate what is there. Drake is a the ideal place from which to reach the parks. We travelled to Drake Bay by intercity bus from San Jose and connected with the ferry. The "wet landing" was a first for us - a genuine adventure where the ferry assistants wade your luggage to shore on their shoulders and the passengers just focus on getting themselves to shore. The ferry takes an hour or so through amazing mangroves. Make sure to tell your hotel to book you on the ferry to avoid misunderstanding -- there are only two ferries per day and you don't want to lose a day/night in Sierpe. The park is amazing --book a tour well in advance as daily entries are limited. Access to the park is by boat. Birds galore, several species of monkey including the mighty howler, tapirs, two species of ant eater, and many more creatures. We did the snorkeling tour too which was also amazing. We saw deep sea turtles, sharks, manta rays and a plethora of species of fish. Beautiful, pristine and rules about not interrupting wildlife. For example, we were watching a turtle and she started to rise for air and we all had to move back 4-6 metres and we had the joy of then watching her float on the surface for a while and just rock in the waves.     We had a great stay and had a balcony to watch the birds from. It is very central so easy to walk to the beach and restaurants. Dylan was a very helpful host and we had a wonderful day trip to Corcovado arranged through the hotel.
