The family and staff. Everyone was so helpful and so warm. I love the mom of the hotel, and Emanuel was really really helpful. Breakfast included was delicious. Room is big and airy. Nice AC, which is very important in Costa Rica lol

Edwin and his family were so hospitable and kind, making sure I was looked after. I speak little Spanish and he spoke to my uber driver for me. The whole stay was so nice. Really Cute set up and the breakfast was good.

The hotel staff was very helpful, kind and resourceful! The room was clean with great AC. The hotel grounds are beautiful with some historical artifacts to view. The hotel coffee was a treat. This was an excellent stay for a relatively close taxi ride to Liberia airport.

I only stayed one night after our flight arrived before heading to the beaches. The beds were comfortable and the free breakfast was good. Also liked the secured parking.

The property was beautiful! The room was spacious and clean. I loved the atmosphere and the nice pool. It was very quiet which was very much needed after a week in Tamarindo. Perfect way to finish my trip to Costa Rica. The food at the restaurant on property was also very good. The staff was amazing, especially Luis!

    DONT go to Tamarindo - was there 5 years ago and now it’s called Tamagringo - everything was expensive and VERY touristy. We got ripped off a lot .. Still some nice unspoiled parts of Liberia if you stay off the beaten track .

    Costa Rica is wonderful and the central park in Liberia was a really nice place to stop and have lunch. The park has a statue commemorating the actions of Juan Santamaria, Costa Rica's national hero. It is a great story detailing human courage and how important one man can be in the greater scheme of things.

    It´s a well developed city at the heart of Guanacaste.

    It´s a well developed city at the heart of Guanacaste. You can find all the main businesses and stores in the country. It´s also conveniently located near the main tourist attractions like Rincon de la Vieja national park, La Leona waterfall hike, Santa Rosa National Park and the Papagayo peninsula beaches among others.

    I used Liberia as a transfer point to get into southern Nicaragua. It was a far better option for me than flying into Managua. Liberia was great for that reason. I did not explore beyond the Liberia hotel location. I thought that my hotel was pricey for what I got-- $80 for a 3 star average hotel. HOWEVER, the hotels out by the airport are as expensive ($150-170 U.S.) as a San Francisco airport hotel. There is a shuttle charge of about $30 to get from Liberia to hotel (about 9 miles). Take a Uber for $11 U.S. and they drop you a few hundred yards from airport. I know that people need to make money, but I have a budget too--Uber was the way to go. I hear that Uber is not legal, but it worked for me.

    Beautiful country and lovely outdoors especially if you are into wildlife and water sports. it rained most of my stay, which was a negative for me but overall - the very friendly people made it all worthwhile!

    We only stayed here for one night, on our way home. A lovely family owns this hotel. Room is very clean and the breakfasts were fantastic!!! The hotel is about 1.5 km from the center of town. We were able to walk where we needed to get to. They have a family member who drives shuttles for them. They were able to arrange a shuttle to the airport.

    Good property for walking our little chihuahua. Good gym laundry and swimming pool facilities. If you are traveling with small kids this is far better than the airport hotels as you can cook and the kids have lots of room to run and play.
