About Torres del Paine

Torres del Paine, Chile, is a breathtaking national park nestled in the southernmost region of the country. The climate here is unpredictable, with temperatures ranging from 33°F to 61°F. Rain is common, so pack accordingly.

This park is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. Hiking the iconic Torres del Paine W Circuit is a must-do, offering stunning views of glaciers, lakes, and mountains. While there's no local transport, the park is easily navigable by foot or car.

The local culture is deeply rooted in the love for nature. The larger region, Patagonia, is known for its lamb dishes, like Cordero al Palo, a whole lamb slow-roasted over an open fire. The surrounding nature is home to diverse wildlife, including the Andean condor and the elusive puma.

    Postcard views in all directions!

Postcard views in all directions! Beautiful mountains, glaciers, turquoise lakes, wow! Hiking is superb, for all levels; there are short and easy hikes, and there are ultimately difficult and strenuous hikes that would challenge anyone. We did a bit of both (not too strenuous, but I hiked/ran up to the Mirador Las Torres and it was enough for me and I am pretty fit). I didn’t research Chile or Torres del Paine before we booked and I am totally blown away by the diversity of its landscapes, the good wines, the good food, and the good people here. Totally recommended..!

We did day walks not the W or O trails. Weather is a key factor and we had snow, rain and beautiful clear skies over 4 days. If doing the Mirador Torres be at the start by 8:30 or earlier. The v fit can do the walk in 7 hours or so. We took 8 1/2 , finishing around 6pm. We did shorter walks too, morning and afternoon, and had great views of the mountains and iceberg on lake grey.

    Torres del Paine too vast.

Torres del Paine too vast. You need a sturdy car not only to get to the amazing popular places but also to maneuver on some of the unpaved and gravel roads. There are few places to eat and hardly any grocery stores, so stock up on food before entering the park.

Torres del Paine is amazing, the mountains are really almost unreal in their beauty. Distances are far even to get to different places within the park, but the views along the way are stunning and its to be expected. The trails are well marked and there are many options. There are opportunities for hard core hikers and adventurers as well as those who might only do day trips or short walks for the views. We will definitely go back.

My husband and I went to the Torres del Paine National Park in March 2020. It was such a large and wonderful national park! So much to see and experience! We love the six days we spent there. On the first day we went on a 10 hour hiking tour to the three towers. It was raining and took us more than 10 hours round trip, very tiring. The rest of the days are clear, we can see the big horns so clearly from our hotel- Vista the Paine. We then went to the Salto Grande, many mirados near the lake Pehoe and the Glacier Grey. We took many photos. The only negative is that there is no gas station in the park, we nearly ran out of gas on the second day. Fortunately the park ranger helped us to find another hotel where they provided us with 20 litters of gas. I would recommend this part to anyone interested in Patagonia!

My wife and I stayed in the national park for 6 days- the park is huge, a lot of beautiful viewpoints including the Salto Grande, and big horns and the three towers /Torres del Paine. But the roads in the park are all gravel roads very bumpy and hard to drive on. You cannot drive fast and it consumes a lot of gasoline. There is no gas station in the park! You 'd better bring extra gas in 20 litter buckets if you plan to stay longer than 1-2 days. We ate at the Pampa restaurant in Rio Serrano village. It is an excellent restaurant! We went on a one-day hike to the Torres del Paine but it was raining. It took us more than ten hours -very long and difficult one, especially when the weather is bad. You'd better be fit and prepared with hiking poles, multi-layers and rain gears.

The location is close to the beautiful lakes and Rio Serrano is beautiful. The hotel and its front yard are nice too. I could see the mountains and horses from my window. Clean and cozy room. The staff is extremely friendly and nice. I had dinner twice, delicious course menu - their chef is great. Also, the lunch box they packed for me was plenty to sustain me for 13 miles hike to Mirador Base Las Torres. I would come back here when I visit Torres del Paine.

It is very clean in a beautiful location. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, especially Denise at the reception desk. They serve a good enough breakfast and at night one can eat in the restaurant, which is slightly priced but convenient since there are not many places to eat. The waitresses in the dining room are so pleasant. It is close to the entrance to Torres del Paine

Really great host. It is a lodge, not a hotel, but if you understand that, then you see the beauty. Location is beautiful, and it is reasonably well positioned for exploring Torres del Paine, but car is essential. While power and wifi are off during the night, there is mobile phone signal, so if you really have to be connected during the night, get yourself a good plan.

The lodging here consists of a series of cozy cabins. It is in an excellent location, along the Rio Serrano in the Villa Serrano, very close to the main entrance of Torres del Paine National Park. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, and the home cooked dinners they make (for an extra, but quite reasonable, fee) are delicious.

This accommodation provides a warm and friendly base in cold and windswept Patagonia. The constant view of the magnificent peaks of Torres del Paine Park is breathtaking. The food, the friendly staff really gives you the feeling of something special. We can only highly recommend . It is truly a gem.

Food at Bar and especially Breakfast was better than most of the other hotels in Torres Del Paine, including Rio Serrano and Hotel Lago Grey where we stayed. We didn't try the restaurant for dinner. The location of course is why we stayed here as this is where we begin the Las Torres hike.

The location and view are excellent, the staff very friendly and helpful, and the food excellent. There are good wall maps of the park which are very helpful for planning hikes, etc. The bedding was a bit odd and awkward, but clean and adequate (in contrast to some earlier reviews).

Amazing views of Torres del Paine from the property, and walking distance to the waterfall and the lake for more sightseeing. Walking distance to the bus station - we didn't have a car and it was surprisingly easy to stay here.
