Offering standard rates and all-inclusive rates which include full-board, Hotel Río Serrano is in Torres del Paine. There is an on-site restaurant and a garden overlooking the Paine Massif. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. We had issues with cancelled flights and lost luggage which required last minute reservation changes and other assistance from the hotel (especially since we did not speak Spanish). The staff went above and beyond to help us get everything resolved and even sent someone 130 km to retrieve our luggage for us. In particular Adriani (manager ?) was very helpful. Also, the restaurant was wonderful both with excellent service, and a new menu each day. We stayed at Rio nearly two weeks and were so spoiled by the chef's preparations !

My husband and I went to the Torres del Paine National Park in March 2020. It was such a large and wonderful national park! So much to see and experience! We love the six days we spent there. On the first day we went on a 10 hour hiking tour to the three towers. It was raining and took us more than 10 hours round trip, very tiring. The rest of the days are clear, we can see the big horns so clearly from our hotel- Vista the Paine. We then went to the Salto Grande, many mirados near the lake Pehoe and the Glacier Grey. We took many photos. The only negative is that there is no gas station in the park, we nearly ran out of gas on the second day. Fortunately the park ranger helped us to find another hotel where they provided us with 20 litters of gas. I would recommend this part to anyone interested in Patagonia!
My wife and I stayed in the national park for 6 days- the park is huge, a lot of beautiful viewpoints including the Salto Grande, and big horns and the three towers /Torres del Paine. But the roads in the park are all gravel roads very bumpy and hard to drive on. You cannot drive fast and it consumes a lot of gasoline. There is no gas station in the park! You 'd better bring extra gas in 20 litter buckets if you plan to stay longer than 1-2 days. We ate at the Pampa restaurant in Rio Serrano village. It is an excellent restaurant! We went on a one-day hike to the Torres del Paine but it was raining. It took us more than ten hours -very long and difficult one, especially when the weather is bad. You'd better be fit and prepared with hiking poles, multi-layers and rain gears.
The park offers incredible outdoor recreation activities and the scenery is stunning. It is a very popular place so expect crowds in the easiest to access areas. If we had more time there, we would have explored some of the less traveled areas of the park.
We visited in January for 8 days. Wonderful view. No food, no gas station within 85 km, no paved roads in the park, leaving dust over everything, probably far more damaging to the environment. Trails are sparse and located in different corners of the huge park. If you do the W, and do it daily without reservation that is 4 separate trails, accessible from 2 different locations. We stayed 8 days and on the last 2 days we were straining to find new trails. We stayed at Rio Sorrano Hotel at one of the southern gates in a beautiful but overpriced hotel. Visiting Lago Amarga or Lago Azul took 70 km each way. Several tracks, such as Rio Pingo, Mount Ferrier, Lago Grey, Lago Sarmiento, are only with guides and prior booking. Weather is TOTALLY unpredictable, could be sunny, rainy, seriously windy, freezing, foggy, icy, the same afternoon on the same trail. Winds up to 100 km/hour howl making tracking really dangerous. All in all, 4-5 days would have been sufficient. Trails you must do: Lago Grey to glacier, Torres Base Camp, Salto Grande Waterfall, around Lago Pehoe.
Torres del Paine is stunning! We enjoyed all the park had to offer including hikes, boat rides, camping and luxury accommodations at times. The roads are gravel, so expect some slower travel, dust and potholes. It is a bit expensive when in the park. The grey glacier boat ride was a great way to see the glacier and icebergs tho a bit pricey but worth it. We loved taking the boat across Lake Pehoe and hiking the French Valley.
The views here are extraordinary - it's a remarkable landscape with amazing hiking options. You can see glaciers, birds and wildlife - it's a very special place. It is very expensive - getting here, hotels, etc., but it reminds me of the Canadian Rockies or Alaska - stunning!
Great location - I recommend using this as your base for TdP as the hotels in the park are hugely overpriced and not as nice (we also stayed at Hotel Lago Grey and got up close to the biomes and Hotel Las Torres). It's only about a half hour drive from Lago Grey in any case. Also, I recommend renting a car to allow you to explore where and when you want in the park. The view from the spacious room was fantastic, great spa area, good food. Fire places in the lounge areas add a cozy feeling.
Torres del Paine
The building is beautifully designed with a world class view that simply cannot be beat! The rooms were cozy and comfortable. The staff were so kind and accommodating. The area of Villa Serrano was really special, and we enjoyed our horseback ride, and also found it easy to access that side of the national park. The on site restaurant was delicious with very traditional Patagonian food! Loved this place!
Torres del Paine
Alisandra was an amazing host. Her english was perfect and she was thorough in explaining what to expect living on the ranch, how to make reservations for some activities in the National Park, getting us fuel when we ran out of gas, and always including us in their dinner menu plans. One of us were vegetarian and they happily accommodated our special dining needs.
Beautiful hotel, a very interesting building with a lot of space but also felt very comfortable. Great pool and spa facilities, excellent service and the food was amazing. What set it apart was the organised tours (which are tailored to each guest) and the professionalism and passion of the tour guides.
Good location in the base to Torres del Paine. Confortable and nice view and surroundings for short walks Food in the restaurant when open was good Dani In the front desk was always very helpful with questions and other issues
