It felt so removed from civilization. A beautiful setting with a view above the trees while in the amazing forest. It is rustic which might not be for everyone. I loved that a huge beautiful moth came into the lodge for a visit.

This property is a place where you stay in comfortable wood cabins in the mountainside in the forest. We enjoyed all our meals at the restaurant, the walking trails, the glow bugs sparkling in the trees at night and the very kind staff. We highly recommend staying here if you want to get away from the city life to a quiet, beautiful mountain retreat. We also would recommend a wine tour of the only vineyard in Costa Rica, Copey Estate Winery, which is about 15 minutes away.

Casa Chayito is located in the heart of Santa Maria town. It is walking distance to the central park and Coopedota. The house has a cozy vibe, it is safe and well equipped (I would add wineglasses to make it better). Emma, the hostess, was very welcoming and kind with us. We enjoy our stay at Casa Chayito.

location and the property was clean and cozy. Even supplied firewood for our fireplace, which was needed. its was very cold at night up in the mountains. the view was spectacular.
