Rented the spacious apartment in Odou which lies on the foot of the Troodos Mountains in Larnaca, Cyprus from 8 August to 19 August 2026. The apartment has 3 sleeping rooms with two-person beds and 2-Bathrooms with shower. Also, a spacious Livingroom and two balconies. The apartment has a wood stove for the winter, and for the summer all the rooms were equipped with good working air-conditioning. The apartment is right in the middle of Odou, a small authentic Cypriot village, with population of around 300. One hundred meter from the apartment was the Orthodox Church with old disused primary school. From Odou a circular walking trail of 7 kilometer reaching the chapel at the top and this is where the Tomato’s grow and harvested. Here we met the local priest who was watering the crop. The neighbors are very friendly and helpful. Odou is located central and getaway to many walking trials in Troodos Mountains. But also, to the Beaches with many dive shops offering dive trips daily. Cyprus Diving Centre in Larnaca offers snorkeling with the turtles. Or Pafos to visit the Aphrodite rock or Aphrodite bath for a swim in the cold mountain water. The whole coast is littered with hotels and restaurants. We prefer to stay away from those buildup areas and found something off the grid; this was for us much more appreciated. After all, everything is within an hour’s drive with the car and later return home in Odou where the temperature is around 8 degrees cooler than on the coast. For us this was the perfect spot.
