Beautiful location, excellent cheap municipal car park but gets busy early evening, lots of restaurants, people helpful and friendly, great views of the Med, supermarkets well stocked. Mijas is a lovely town with much to offer.
Mijas is a lovely town with much to offer. It is well served by a number of bus routes. There are a good range of shops and restaurants. If walking is your thing, there are a number of walking trails to the north of the village. The routes are marked, the paths are rocky and loose, so good ankle support would be a recommendation, as would walking poles. Fuengirola is 3 miles down the hill on the coast. We stayed in Dona Lola and used all the facilities on site...
We stayed in Dona Lola and used all the facilities on site which were excellent. Walked along the board walk to Mijas a couple of times and walked to Cabopino a couple of times. There were 2 bathrooms, one with a bath and the other with a shower cubicle. Bedroom is spacious, as was the sitting room and equipped kitchen. There was also large terrace, one which overlooks Mijas-Costa, and another separate, much larger enclosed terrace.
