The place was immaculate, well organized and safe. The host was warm and welcoming and professional. This place and the people who run it will stand out as a highlight during my month in Spain. It epitomizes the best of Euskadi. The host went out of his way to ensure that my visit was a great introduction to Euskadi, helping me find the best food and drink nearby. He put me in touch with a local woman friend of his who lives in both Canada and Zumárraga and who was thrilled to hang out with another Canadian. The next day, he drove me where I needed to go for my next day of walking on the Ignatian Camino. What a welcome.

Morning coffee on the terrace overlooking the valley was very special. We had both lunches at the hotel restaurant and the food was excellent. A comfortable room with great views. But one of the best things were the staff. So friendly, helpful and happy even though it was obvious they were working very hard.

Offering a terrace and views of the mountains, Hotel Imaz is set in the center of Segura. Guests can enjoy an on-site restaurant that serves local produce and a la carte breakfast.

Location was perfect. Staff are delightful. Room was well equipped and totally functional.

Larramendi Torrea is set next to the Urola River, 10 minutes’ walk from the historic center of Azkoitia. The stone building, dating from 1413, offers modern rooms with free wired internet.

We had hit something of a wall by day seven of a long trip. This hotel was a great antidote because we were able to sit in the very-lively outside restaurant and bar for a few hours. Caught up with communications, photos, enjoyed some drinks and a good dinner. Convenient location if you are planning to stay at the hotel for dining / entertainment. We had what must be their best room. Very large with windows along two whole sides, great views.

Located in the Salbatoreh industrial area, 5 minutes’ drive from Beasain, Hotel Salbatoreh offers free WiFi and an on-site restaurant.

Receptionist lady very friendly despite language barriers. Location is stunning, riverside. Very quiet late hours
