A pleasant town, but after seeing the main sights there is not a lot else but great starting point for many cycle routes. The Roman theater was magnificent. Great hot chocolate and ice cream shop with a view of the theatre wall
The old town of Orange is much smaller than Avignon and lacks large open spaces. The arena is spectacular, but overall, it lacks the charm of Avignon. I'm happy to have visited, but I probably won't stay there again.
The theatre was beautiful, impressive. We had a wonderful dinner in a restaurant called Forum. We were afraid that we would not find anything on Sunday evening, but this place exceeded our expectations. Orange is a great place to stay when you are traveling to or from Spain, because it is right off the motorway.
The main attraction is the Roman theater which is similar to the Theater Marcellus in Rome. Massive scale and accessible to tourists. The presentations and audio guides were very informative. Lovely town and the lack of tourists were a plus.
An absolute "must visit" for those interested in Roman history. Also perfectly situated for touring in the Southern Rhone area. A relaxed ambiance permeates throughout this lovely town. A multitude of good restaurants to choose from after the sightseeing.
The Roman théâtre is really worth visiting - fascinating history and spectacular monument. Multi media explanations are excellent. Worth eating lunch at the restaurant on site - gorgeous outdoor terrace for summer with theatre wall as a backdrop or cosy indoor room built into the hill. Lunch menu very reasonably priced and delicious. No time to visit the rest of Orange.
Very disappointed by the hotel. The hotel was fine, but it should be for the price. I asked to be able to get points on my Accord card, as it was an Accord hotel. They told me since I reserved through Booking I couldn’t get any points. I told them that Booking serves them well. The breakfast was good but certainly not extraordinary. The hotel was decent, but for the price not extraordinary and rude concerning their points
Orange
It’s a great location for visiting Orange and Chateauneuf du Pape. We had bicycles and we made excellent trips through the vineyards. The place is fully equipped and very quiet. Off the main road, secluded parking and location but the huge Carrefour was just 5 mins away. The owner speaks good English and was charming and helpful. Breakfast was provided for the first morning and she was super helpful.
Orange
This is a fantastic place with a great staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again. Also the food was exceptional, some of the best we had while in France! It really says how good the place was when the restaurant in the hotel didn’t advertise and was packed at night.
The place oozes style and character. It is increadibly spacious, don't think 2 bedroom flat, think a multilevel organic form with lots of nooks and crankies spread over 3, or is that 4 or 5 floors. Everything that Orange offers is just a few minutes away other than the Triumphal Arch.
Orange
Beautiful villla and Gardens, very comfortable and peaceful, just a short walk from the center of the village of Orange. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, served in the dining room or out on the patio. Highly recommend, we will stay here again if we are ever back in the area.
This is a budget hotel situated a short walk away from the city centre. All was as expected for Ibis, clean, efficient and in good working condition. Secure and free parking on the premises, early breakfast available from 0630 hours.
Nice place but we only stayed over for opne night, but would be oke to spend some nights for visit of city orange, very friendly recption by staff and the breakfast, is far above average compared to most other french hotels,
Breakfast was basic, nothing special. Good enough for a hotel stopover. Friendly people on check in. All in all a good stay. We would consider to go back. We were told before check in that breakfast was limited.
Friendly, English speaking staff. Easy check in. Clean, newly decorated room. Easy access to freeway and downtown Orange. Perfect location for travelling to Rhone Valley or Provence. Great price!

Very personable and willing to assist you! Very pleasant hotel in the heart of Orange❤️
Bed was ok and location was quite close to center for the standard location of F1 hotels
Clean and comfortable room, nice swimming pool, quiet location. Very friendly staff and absolutely delicious food in restaurant La Table du Verger on the premises. Le Mas des Aigras is absolutely recommended, I wouldn't hesitate a single moment to book again.
