When I got into the room I wanted to scream because it was SO cool, it was like being transported back in time to the boudoir of an upper-class Lady. The interior, the decorations, the details, were all so well thought through. I wish I'd had time to make use of the bath. Even walking up the stairs to the room was like walking up into another world. Check in was also very smooth, I arrived earlier than expected and was kindly allowed to check in early by the host – she replied straight away and was super lovely.

The staff were so welcoming and incredibly helpful. We only stayed for a night, but the staff went out their way to ensure we had everything we needed for our young children. The breakfast was great, and the staff were very accommodating in the dining area, too. Couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. Also, the building was great - really old features and interesting historical items dotted around.

Everything. Excellent quiet location by the River Wharfe and park. 10 minute walk to the town centre. Warm and cosy family run hotel. Would definitely choose to stay there again.

    Ben Rhydding is a suburb of Ilkley, and very close to it.

    Ben Rhydding is a suburb of Ilkley, and very close to it. It has a lovely feel, with a train station. It looks like it has a parade of shops but they are not useful to a tourist: estate agents, beauty parlours but no grocery or newsagent. But you can also walk into Ilkley from Ben Rhydding, and there are plenty of shops near Ilkley train station - Tesco, M&S, cafes, etc. It is very close to Ilkley moor as the crow flies!

    I loved the fact that there were all the facilities we required and found it better than a hotel room. It was more spacious than I had first anticipated, which helped as we were staying for a few nights. With it being at the back of the hosts house (joined on), you wouldn't have thought this was the case. The noise levels with both ourselves and the host were kept to a considerate level at all times. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at The Little Acorn. We also hope to stay here again in the near future.

    Plenty of utensils in the kitchen to cook and quite spacious. House gets plenty light and kitchen and lounge space is quite big to spend time with friends and family. Conviniently located near tesco and other utilities with plenty of places to eat and roam around near by.

    It was a great base for exploring West Yorkshire. We had a hired car but Ben Rhydding train station was only 8 mins walk and buses even closer.
