Lovely place to visit, had a lovely crumpet at Mollys tea rooms where the staff wore really cute dress's. Didn't really go far just sat there and watched the world go by as Chileam is the sort of relaxing place you can do that.

Lovely, ancient buildings, very photogenic, dominated by Chilham Castle, a very impressive building sadly only open for one day each month. One very tiny but nice tea-room, one souvenir shop, 2 average pubs, one with live music though. Beautiful countryside with some lovely walks nearby. Sadly nowhere great to eat in the evenings.

Chilham is a beautiful village with lots of history and good routes near by if you like a country walk. The area definitely lives up to the name 'the garden of England' and we visited orchards, farm shops and a cidery during our stay. The village has a small post office, a tea room (lovely), two pubs and a gift shop. It's the perfect weekend getaway or a nice day trip.

A place to visit !
Lovely and old village, just away the traffic between Ashford and Canterbury, with a beautiful castle (that is unfortunately not visitable during winter).
Where to sleep: the Woolpack Inn, the perfect Inn.
Where to have a drink: the White Horse, the perfect pub with a warm fireplace.

Chilham is a wonderful place, The buildings and the main square are well worth seeing. The view of the main square is a view on one of our dinner mats and I have wanted to see it for real. Now I have I am not disappointed.
Please do not spoil the look of Chilham. It is a pity the main square could not be made pedestrian only. However it is worth a visit and the White Horse is a good community inn. Well done for keeping the village looking good.
“Perfectly located in the charming old village of Chilham, the Woolpack Inn was precisely what I expected from such a place: clean and comfortable rooms, a friendly and attentiveness staff, and a real and authentic lively pub where we ate a generous beer-battered cod with its chips. Obviously, I will stop there again if I manage to visit the Kent again.”
“This was located on my route to Dover, though a Little off the beaten track by sat-nav. Have now discovered a much easier route. Very cozy and quiet, though you could hear your neighbours TV but no more than in any other hotel.”
“The staff were excellent very friendly, helpful and professional. The location of the Woolpack Inn is charmed as the village of Chilham is possibly the smartest village I have come across and as significant place in history.”
