Located in Dunvegan, Atholl Guest House has a shared lounge. Free WiFi is available and private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. This was by far the best place we've stayed on this trip. The B&B was spotlessly clean. There are four rooms which hold two people each. One room has twin beds. The beds were new and SO comfortable. Top quality linens. The bathrooms were new and modern, and clean. Breakfast was filling and fresh and delicious. The owners were so friendly and knowledgeable about the area. They helped us plan our day, which turned out to be delightful! I highly recommend this B&B!!!
Kilmuir Park offers accommodations in Dunvegan on the Isle of Skye. The rooms with attached bathroom come with a flat-screen TV and tea and coffee making facilities. Ian and Christian have furnished this property beautifully and we felt very comfortable. The lounge areas were very comfortable and we were made to feel very much at home using them. The breakfasts were very good
Located in Dunvegan, 22 miles from Portree, The Tide has a garden and free WiFi. A Full English/Irish breakfast is available each morning at the bed and breakfast. We had a wonderful room overlooking the loch and the view was just breathtaking. Breakfast was delicious and Angie is a great host. The room was spotless clean, quiet and warm enough. Can’t find anything wrong about this place! Thank you, Angie. We’ll definitely be back!
Set in Dunvegan in the Isle of Skye Region, this detached B&B features a garden with a sun terrace. The property features a hot tub and views of the mountains. This is a lovely home that you share common space with other guests. The house is beautiful and comfortable. You host and hostess are wonderful people that will be over backward to help you. If you want to do your own cooking the kitchen is well equipped. There's even a hot tub for relaxing after a day of exploring Skye.
Dunshee is located in Roskhill near Dunvegan. These two apartments provide breakfasts, cooked or continental. Free WiFi access and parking are available. Dunshee was perfect. Our hosts, Sue and Warren, provided a well presented, clean and comfortable self-contained apartment for us to stay in. Sue brought us home made cake on arrival and the breakfast each day was amazing. Great porridge, Warren!! There was a washing machine in the little kitchen area so we were able to wash our clothes and dry them on the line because of the perfect weather we had. There is also a drying rack in the apartment itself. The wifi was excellent and fast. We ate in each night as the little kitchen had a full stove and oven as well as a microwave. There were DVDs to choose from if you didn’t wish to watch TV. Everything was so wonderful, that, if we ever return to Skye, we will definitely be staying here.
Offering free WiFi, Harlosh Log Cabin is set on the beachfront near Dunvegan. The property is 25 mi from Portree, and complimentary private parking is offered. The host, John is a very friendly and helpful mate. He came and collected us when our sat nav took us to the middle of nowhere. The cabin is a newly built one with everything fitted to a high standard -- kitchen, toilet and a warm and powerful shower. The view around the place is marvellous.
The Lambing Shed is located in Dunvegan. The accommodation is 30 miles from Portree, and guests benefit from private parking available on site and free WiFi. Jo and Deks hospitality was second to none, the lambing shed is a credit to them. Beautiful inside and out, stunning views and the home baking was to die for. We will definitely be back.
The people, the food, the culture, the history. This little corner of a little corner of the world just transports you to a different time and place. Every view is full of natural beauty. We saw more waterfalls than we could count just while driving on main roads, in addition to the specific scenic ones we saw at specific viewpoints. Dunvegan Castle and the Talisker Distillery are must-see attractions. Also, The Old School restaurant is sublime, with excellent service and better food!
Dunvegan is a small village but offers plenty to do and see. It is a quiet place to get a good nights rest and to feel removed from the hustle of daily life. There are some great restaurant choices within walking distance to most hotels, inns, and guest houses.
We used Dunvegan to experience Skye Island. You could spend two weeks there easily, hiking, touring, exploring, eating. Dunvegan was a stunning and convenient place to use as a base. And the castle was our favorite.
There’s always more to see anywhere, but do recommend the castle tour and the Coral Beach bike. Wanted to see the Fairy Pools, but we had a ferry to catch. Will have to come back. Love driving the single track roads😀
High end restaurants to yummy bakeries and small cafes—Dunvegan is great. Enjoyed the Old School Restaurant, Blas Cafe, 13 Chimneys, the Old Inn. Dunvegan not clogged with tourists and buses like Portree. Hiking, pub music, etc — we will return
This was a great place to locate ourselves for a couple of days. We went to the castle and gardens which was a nice stop. There are also some great little shops on the way that are well worth stopping at. There is a great place for alpaca scarfs, blankets, clothing. Fantastic colors and choices. Very good base for exploring this part of the island
A lovely guest house, clean, well presented and welcoming. Stuart and Janet were perfect hosts who we spent some time with in the cosy little seating area by the reception. The standards here are very high but carried out with ease. Nothing is to much trouble. Stuart and Janet have managed to make this business feel like home and the Welcome sign in reception is truly meant. The breakfasts are really lovely, well cooked, fresh and tasty. Very well positioned with Dunvegan Castle just up the road. I can’t recommend this property enough.
Our host was delightful! Seriously would stay here again if we go back. And regretfully should have stayed 3 nights instead of 2. Our room was super cute and awesome. The breakfast was quite flexible on options and delicious. The location we thought was wonderful. Far away from anything commercial, which is exactly what you want when visiting Skye. Still many options around to eat. Grab a bottle of wine at the store and pop it open at night under the skylights.
The rooms are adorable - up to date, clean and comfortable. Each also had a modern en suite bathroom. Breakfast was delicious but what made the stay was its proprietors - Ian and Christine were not only extremely helpful (sorted out taxis, quick with recommendations on what to do and where to eat nearby) but were also just simply delightful people to have a chat with. When I return to Skye, I will be back!
This property was amazing. From the beautiful views to the comfy bed and delicious breakfasts. Angie was an incredible host and went above and beyond to make our stay beyond wonderful!! If we come back to Skye which I hope we do, we will stay here again!
Cosy and comfortable. Ideal for an overnight stay exploring the Isle of Skye. Owner was friendly and accommodating. Apart from no tv( there is a portable DVD player) everything you could need was provided as part of the cost. Free WiFi too.
The best thing about this property is the hosts! Pauline and Gordon were lovely and very knowledgeable about the island. Really welcoming and a lovely clean guest house in a good location for exploring Skye :)
Quiet, near lovely walks, close to Dunvegan and nearby Inns, near a sandy beach very peaceful and the cottage was perfect for four adults with lots of space and thoughtfully stocked excellent helpful hosts
Owners were very friendly and approachable. We’ve been provided local tourist spot locations, complimentary whisky, and very tasty breakfast. Room had wonderful view of Skye.
This was the most adorable place i have stayed in years and the location is handy for so many of the beautiful sites of Skye.
Spacious and updated facilities. Great for country walks, village life and visit to Dunvegan Castle.
Perfect location in Dunvegan for a stop in our road trip.
In this cottage you have everything you need, even with family. It is lovely. Kitchen is big and very well equipped, beds are comfy, living room is lovely and has an amazing view towards Dunvegan and MacLoed's tables. You can reach easily most of the important places you want to see on Skye. Dunvegan is a nice place, small shop, very good restaurants and bakery is available. We didn't even need to meet the host, Ronnie, everything went smoothly.
Lovely hosts, fabulous food, comfy beds.
