Located in Kidwelly, 11 mi from Carmarthen, Kidwelly Farmhouse offers accommodations with a seating area and flat-screen TV. The setting was pastoral and the entire farm was full of fine old furniture and interesting pieces such as the sheep staff. The hosts are very congenial and make a wonderful breakfast. Try the salmon and eggs.

Boasting a garden, Kidwelly Farm Cottage is set on a working farm 1.7 mi from Kidwelly with free WiFi and sea views. The holiday home is 9.9 mi from Llanelli. Spotlessly clean, ample space for all of our 3 generations and loads to keep children occupied. Hot tub was a great hit with us and we all enjoyed a lovely evening family bbq where the kids loved roasting marshmallows. Definately recommended 10/10
Set in Kidwelly in the Dyfed region, within a 5-minute walk from the beach, Marsh Water Ponds features 8 acres to explore, including a fishing pond and barbecue facilities. Everything the caravan was nice and comfortable and clean the location is brilliant the cafe is very good and the hot tub is out of this world and Lorraine and Ian could not be more helpful and extremely friendly we have already booked again for next year
absolutely love our stay here the cottage was lovely and cosy and everything you could need inside the view from the balcony was great and so peaceful and the hot tub is a welcome addition after long walks shops a short walk away on the neighbouring caravan park and loved that the ice cream man came by every evening just a great place for relaxing and exploring
Overall kidwelly cottage is a beautiful cottage. Facilities and cleanliness was good. Cats and dog visit from next door to say hello. Friendly and clean. Area and amenities outside kidwelly if you don't mind a 30 minute drive is so worth checking out. Hot tub/jacuzzi was nice and they do advertise children's play area. Which there was but was shared with neighbours children. Expected a lot more privacy then what we got. Neighbours popping round asking us for things that should already be out of the cottage. Children back and fourth across property when we was trying to enjoy our stay. Building work being done which when we arrived had scaffolding up which was was taken down over our stay. Outside area where table tennis and laundry facilities where was very dusty off the work being carried out. Trampoline was nice and big kids loved it. BBQ facilities where very misleading. In report said BBQ facilities available. Where they were but at an additional cost. BUT ALL THAT ASIDE... KIDWELLY COTTAGE WAS LOVELY. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL COTTAGE.
This farmhouse is full of warmth, character and ambience. It was wonderfully warm and comfortable. It would be a great place for a short break or writers retreat. There is also other self catering accommodation available at the same location which would be great for a family holiday.
We had a wonderful time. The place was warm and welcoming and the host and hostess were just brilliant. They followed covid rules and the place was very neat and tidy. We could not have found fault in terms of cleanliness, food and their hospitality. The vegan breakfast was just perfect. We stayed here with of children and they could not have been more comfortable. They enjoyed playing with their child. They suggested good places to go with children and we are definitely staying with them soon. Thank you for making our stay really wonderful.
Kidwelly is a small but historic town, very well maintained with splendid buildings reflecting the story of the area from Norman times through to the Industrial Revolution. The people we talked to were all friendly and helpful. There are a number of pubs and restaurants as well as varied take away options. The town does have a post office, news agent and pharmacy (all close to each other)as well as some small speciality shops, the craft chocolate shop for example is well worth seeking out.Additionally there are good public transport links with buses to the regions bigger towns and cities and a railway station, though it is worth remembering that a lot of train services are by request.
The castle is worth a visit. Lots of pubs. Easy to get around Kidwelly walking is fine. Not many eating places nothing open Sunday, Londis was open. Not many shops, but the walking along the river is lovely. The drive to Pembry sands is 5 mins by car and you can take dogs. Its got that real old fashioned feeling of Welshiness. I will go back.
