The Annex Cottage at Newhouse Farm is set in Lanark. The property has front garden views and a small private rear garden exclusively for guests' use. From before getting to the accommodation and after leaving the owner was very attentive and made sure that I had everything I needed. The accommodation was very clean and well fitted out. I was welcomed with fresh milk in the fridge and biscuits. Great accommodation and would definitely recommend.

Just 45 minutes’ drive from Glasgow, this hostel is located in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of New Lanark, a 200-year-old conservation village. The hostel offers unbeatable value for money, and the family rooms are very practical and comfy. Being in a historic building that forms an integral part of a World Heritage Site, a few steps from the key visitor sites, is simply priceless. Mill One Restaurant is also extremely handy for dinner, but advance booking is strongly recommended.
Set in Lanark in the Lanarkshire region, Tranquil accommodations in a great location. Features a garden. The property is 28 mi from Falkirk and free private parking is featured. Spacious, comfortable. Margaret and Drew invite you to make yourselves at home. We would happily plan to stay again. This was a flying visit but would have liked to stay longer.
We liked the fact that the hotel we stayed in is part of a World Heritage Village as there is a lot to see and do without leaving the site. There are country walks, a waterfall and river all onsite. It is a well kept historical setting with several attractions such as the old school, mill buildings etc. The hotel has a spa and indoor swimming pool. The town of Lanark was a short drive away and has plenty of shops etc. The scenery in Lanark is spectacular and there is a loch just outside of the town with a pub.
Wonderful walks on Nature reserve beside New Lanark. Friendly town with lots of interesting shops. Good base for travelling around. Lanark loch worth a visit with lovely, friendly restaurant beside it.
Get out and about to see all the sites everything is accessible the locals are so friendly I loved our stay will definitely come back . Lots of places to eat even takeout was fab but due to recent pandemic restrictions mostly ate at accommodation
Lovely surroundings, beautiful reception and lovely staff. Didnt like my parents room left with dirty bedding on, dirty cups on the side , bins full and dirty wet towels left on the bathroom floor. I paid nearly £400 for our 2 night stay my father is ill and we booked a disabled room when i complained was told oh sorry. Not good enough when your charging the prices you do.
I booked a delux room and was not disappointed the room was large and overlooked the river, all the staff were very polite and helpful. we had a meal in the hotel restaurant and it was very good and really good value, would defiantly recommend this hotel to others
The Heritage Centre is excellent. Good walks and beautiful scenery. The colours of the trees were lovely. Fairly easy to get to and a good spot for touring round other areas. Edinburgh about an hour's drive. A couple of castles not far. Can recommend Linlithgow to visit, a lovely town with castle on the loch and of course Edinburgh.
