Very nice staff and clean, comfortable room. Nice bar downstairs and good breakfast in the morning. We had a great time hanging out with the bar tender and one of the co-owners in the evening. We felt like family.

loved the size and the number of bathrooms, the location is excellent for walking and nantcol waterfalls for swimming. My host was fantastic, answered my questions and I'm great time. the courtyard is a good size, we ate out there every day, of course depending on the weather. There was 8 of us, we all had plenty of room. I would recommend this place for value and location and just being a nice place to stay

The ideal place to escape to. A clean, comfortable and cosy living space with everything we needed. We were greeted and location briefed upon arrival which was wonderfully helpful, plus it's always nice to meet the owner. The views were exceptional, especially when enjoyed from the wood fired hot tub. Plenty of stunning hikes right on the doorstep. What an absolute gem of a place.

The owner, Mrs Hughes is super helpful, and would probably move a mountain if you asked her to. The property is quaint and the kitchen is very stocked. The home made cake on arrival was a tasty surprise. We travelled in November so the weather was expected but the cottage was very warm. Totally recommend if you seek seclusion.

A good place to stay if visiting Harlech castle.

A good place to stay if visiting Harlech castle. We took the train to Harlech then got a 2 for 1 deal on the entry fee. We then walked back to llanbedr along the beach and then along a path-took several hours.

One of the prettiest villages on the stretch of coast...

One of the prettiest villages on the stretch of coast between Barmouth and Porthmadog. For a small village they are blessed with three pubs, Ty Mawr, The Victoria Inn and Hafan Artro which is some feat in today's climate. Llanbedr is an excellent base to visit Barmouth, Harlech, Portmeirion and Porthmadog. There's plenty of great beaches nearby, including the vast beach at Harlech stretching for 9 kms and easy access for hiking the nearby hills. Personally speaking, I'd say it's my favourite Welsh village and lots of people I meet there say the same thing, Some people I know have been returning every year for over 50 years now and still love it.

Lovely quiet, well presented village with an excellent pub...

Lovely quiet, well presented village with an excellent pub for meals and very reasonably priced. The Victoria were very accommodating and although it showed restaurant full on their website they did allow us to find a seat in the bar and order meals. Little shop had everything we needed. Ĺanbedr sits in between Harlech and Barmouth, both lovely places to visit with nice restaurants around the harbour side of Barmouth.

Llanbedr is a charming stone village between Barmouth and Harlech. It's only small but there's three pubs and a shop. There are plenty of nearby walks and the riverside is very pretty, just under 2 miles from the village are the Nantcol waterfalls. It's a good base for exploring North and Mid Wales. There's Snowdonia, light railways, pretty coastal villages, Portmeirion, golf courses, a seemingly endless list of things to do in the area. The Victoria Inn is one of the best pubs in the country in my honest opinion, they have 5 rooms for guests and a good pub menu as well.

From the accommodation we went to Harlech beach and Harlech castle, to Snowden (by car), to Portmeirion (by train) and to the Rhaeadr Nantcol Waterfalls. An ideal balance between a cultural, beach and walking/hiking holidays.

As a location to get to the lakes, waterfalls, Roman steps...

As a location to get to the lakes, waterfalls, Roman steps it is ideal. It is isolated so if you want to really get away this is the place to go. It may be busier in the hotter weather months. The sheep welcome you in the morning grazing on the grass. There is a local shop that has almost everything you need. I really enjoyed the waterfalls, I went with my sons and we spent some tile wandering around the various waterfalls trying to find what fed them, we went deeper and deeper into the woods but could not find it. Getting around walking is the way as long as you don’t mind walking for miles and miles, we drove around the various single lane country lanes. The view of the lake between the two mountains when we got to the Roman steps was breathtaking. There was a road that had a signpost that said the sat nav will not work, this road takes you through the real mountain road, just be ready to drive up and down a very steep one lane road opening and closing gates with cars coming the other way. The very narrow road twists very sharply and has lots of blind bends where at least at two places all you can see is your car bonnet because the road is so steep. All in all a unique experience.

Beautiful quiet location. The cottage is stocked with everything you could need for you stay. The hosts are super friendly and kind. We absolutely loved this place. I stayed with my 2 teenagers and they also loved it. Lovely walk down to the village which has great pubs and great location for exploring north wales. 10/10 its great.

Cosy older style hotel in beautiful gardens with views of the surrounding hills. Location good for Harlech beach and countryside. Quiet restaurant separate from main bar. Comfortable lounge available. Bright decor. Very comfortable bed. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.

The rooms had been newly refurbished & the food was excellent both at breakfast & in the evening. There was plenty of on site parking & the whole hotel was really lovely to stay at.
