Pwllheli has several lovely beaches, a compact town centre with independent food and clothing shops, cinema and supermarkets. Pwllheli was a great location for accessing the Llyn peninsula. Good bus service and well signposted roads. The streets are clean and pedestrian access to off road areas is very good with many walk ways around the town. The old town is charming and the beach/tourist area is fairly typical of a beach resort with very reasonably priced food etc. Victoria Hotel recommended Caffe Largo for breakfast which was an excellent choice and also very good anytime of day. Pwllheli is ideally placed for launching to explore the Peninsula, however the town centre is a bit sparse for nice eating and drinking establishments by comparison to Abersoch or Criccieth. The beach is lovely, long and empty, clean sand. The harbour is large and very pretty but not much night life around it.
