We absolutely loved our stay at The Salt House, the owners are lovely and have put so much thought and care into the property. There were lots of little touches that made the stay special. Our room was really cosy and unique, with one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast of homemade granola, and avocado and eggs on toast. I highly recommend this B&B and would definitely stay again.

Clean, comfortable BnB with an excellent breakfast. Located 15 minutes south of Dunrobin Castle, it was a perfect location for getting to the castle early. Michelle was a wonderful hostess and made our brief stay very enjoyable.

We had a lovely suite. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was excellent. Bathroom very clean. Lots of seating areas in the foyer and bar area. The food was delicious, good choice of wines and spirits. Some lovely cocktails I'd never had anywhere else. It was really wild weather but we were cosy inside. Enjoyed watching the wild waves and the hardy golfers attempting a round.

Rogart is very pretty, lovely views although it is kind of...

Rogart is very pretty, lovely views although it is kind of in the middle of nowhere with very narrow roads all around, but there are plenty of passing places, some only 100 or so yards apart! You do have to travel a lot to get to places but is quite central to all well known places in that Highland area. We covered Dunrobin Castle, which was only 20 minutes away, John o Groats, Ullapool (absolutely stunning), Loch Ness was less than a couple of hours away, we did the Isle of skye too but was a long drive, but was well worth it for the scenery on the way alone. Plenty of shops and restaurants in nearby villages of Golspie and Dornoch, only 4 or 5 miles away.

If you're looking for somewhere to relax in peace and quiet this is for you. There are local eateries within a 5 min drive and a shop , filling station and tourist information office too . Well equipped and comfortable .

Good place to get about from We explored the surrounding places,Dornoch,Brora.Tain etcThen ventured further afield to Tongue,which was fantastic.We were able to get some really good photos,as the scenery is so breath taking.Sheep crossing the roads,lochs and mountains.We were happy with the weather as it was just right for us.At the place we stayed we were able to relax out on the patio with a glass or two and enjoy the views ,which were lovely as we were so high up amd could see for miles around.It was truly a wonderfull experience and we will never forget our time there.

We booked last minute and were glad we did.

We booked last minute and were glad we did. The location is amazing, The welcome was like visiting old friends who couldn't do enough for us. Sitting on the terrace looking at the view in the peace and quiet was great. The whole place is spotlessly clean. Our room was roomy and comfortable. So many choices for breakfast, which was wonderful. Easily accessed off the main road, and a good base for the area.
