This is a good place to go if you just need to relax and enjoy luxurious surroundings and very fine food. There is a 9 hole garden golf course in the grounds but just down the road there is s full 18 hole course with clubhouse and bar if you need some exercise. It was very easy to access beautiful walks and to play golf. The outdoor pool is excellent and you can actually swim lengths. The spa is outstanding. We enjoyed eating in the hotel and in the Village Inn. Our room was large with a comfy bed
The relaxed atmosphere. The position on the hill looking across to the bay. Being part of the village. The nice gardens. The attentive staff. The fact that it was dog and children friendly. The facilities and the lovely unhurried breakfast. Hope to go again. A truly lovely hotel.
Good service from well trained and friendly staff. Location a little off the beaten track but places to visit easily accessible by car. Lovely relaxing ambiance. Restaurant needs to be more intimate atmosphere in evening to encourage diners to stay and not dine elsewhere.
Pleasant staff and the standard of service overall was good. We enjoyed a sea view room and we had full view of Storm Brian as it hit the Devon coast.
