We loved the the home away from home apartment style rooms . As travellers from NZ we loved the washing machine ! The rooms exceeded our expectations, we were so comfortable for the night , able to re pack our bags , plenty of room , the car was very safe in the off street car park near our room . We enjoyed breakfast the next day . Loved the fresh fruit salad . Fabulous helpful , kind , lovely staff .

Warwick is a very charming medievil/tudor town that has maintained a lot of it's character throughout the decades. There are enough pubs, restaurants, shops and other facilities should you need them. We were lucky enough to catch the market on the Saturday too which reminded me of a traditional busy high street full off bustle, but never felt too crowded due to lots of open space and wide streets. There are sign posts everywhere too that give you a bit of history, provide maps, and tell you the way to local attractions.

Warwick is a great central location for the Midlands.

Warwick is a great central location for the Midlands. It has a castle geared towards children and the historic Lord Leycester's Hospital more geared to adults. Best of all are the community maintained Hill Close Gardens - glimpse into the past in a really beautiful setting.

Take a picnic because the food and drinks are totally over...

Take a picnic because the food and drinks are totally over priced - over £5 for two cups of coffee. Be prepared to eat your picnic standing up as there is nowhere to sit and eat it - the benches by the castle are full all the time of pensioners (who obviously need the seats more than we did because it is a walk!). The cafe is full all the time and there are never any tables spare - we went in three separate occasions throughout the day and it was always full. The rooms in the castle were wonderful and the staff very helpful. The time tower and princess story session were very good BUT you have to pay extra for ice-skating and the dungeons. Beware on frosty days the Zog play area is closed but the Horrible Histories Maze was really good - some of the stamper machines were jammed but the up keep of it was mostly good. My children are 11 and 8 and we arrived at 11 and left at 6pm - they were busy all day. My husband and I managed to survive despite our over priced coffee!

Warwick is a great place to wander around and small enough not to get lost. There are many impressive buildings and lots of choice for eating out. Very friendly and compact. We saw the castle from the exterior as we didn’t get chance to visit on this occasion. Will be back definitely to have a longer look around. From previous experience there is a fabulous walk along the river and canal into Leamington Spa.

Very walkable historic centre.

Very walkable historic centre. Castle is a "must" to visit but allow plenty of time for it as there is a lot to see and do including a couple of Birds of Prey demonstrations. Expensive if you only have a couple of hours. Once you have paid to enter you are allowed to exit the Castle and return in the same day. Also some Museums to visit. There is a church Tower you can go up as well. Lots of Cafes, Pubs and Restaurants with varying cuisines. Great and interesting place for a visit whether for a couple of days or longer.

The newly refurbished hotel has been re-done to a very high standard. The bedrooms were extremely comfortable and in keeping with the age of the building but with a modern twist. We stayed for one night only visiting the Christmas Light Trail at Warwick Castle. We had an amazing Sunday lunch at the hotel before going to the castle, which is only a few minutes walk away. We have visited this hotel a number of times before but this visit was by far the best since the renovations. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
