Beautiful area, great views of the sea from the apartments. There's a stellar (secluded) beach within a short walking distance, it was my favorite beach of our one month stay in the Pelion area. And we visited quite a few beaches. Gorgeous. On one day we had the entire beach completely to ourselves from when we got there around 10 am until around 3 pm. We stayed at the accommodation in June, so beach season. It can be tricky driving here if you don't have a car with high clearance, and if you don't follow the owner's directions, as a lot of roads were damaged during the storm last year. But if you do follow them even a car that's low to the ground will be fine. Stay at this accommodation, you won't regret it if you're into quieter beaches (and though of course the more popular Potistika beach is only 15 minutes walk away, if you prefer more lively beaches).

    Probably the best set of beaches on the Eastern side of...

    Probably the best set of beaches on the Eastern side of Pelion, Kommos and Melani beach included. Sand and pebbles and majestic rock formations. Windy at times. Weekends bring more crowds. A couple of decent tavernas serve food and refreshments, while an expensive restaurant/ bar offers a haven for snobs. The whole region is intertwined by hiking routes, dense forests and wild scenery. Enjoy!
