It's a long and winding road to Sfakia from the airport, which is worth remembering if you get travel sick. We didn't get a car and i regret this, we would have been able to do more things if we had been able to travel without a taxi. Nice small town plenty of Tavernas. Easy to park. Ferrys to Loutro and other places. Gorge walks beaches. Kayaking boat hire the possibilties are endless. Too much to do not enough time.
