Hire bicycles, you can just about ride around the island now. Well worth getting about to enjoy the various warungs and restaurants. Had some great quality meals. Turtles off beach where we were staying, walk in and they were there. I know a lot of people knock the horse and carts as 'cruel'. You can walk just about everywhere if you feel that way. We didn't have a need to use them as we were about a km from the terminal. Yes, there is rubbish in the middle of the island. some seem shocked by that also but I'd question where they have been in Indonesia to find this a shock. Overall we had a lovely, relaxing time at Gili T. Planning to go back . It's a little chaotic getting there and on arrival but just chill out!StephenAustralia - Scored 1010

Stunning like the rest of Bali.
Stunning like the rest of Bali. Turquoise waters full of tropical fish and turtles. No cars on the island which is great ! Bike hire really cheap. At (a young) 56 I felt pretty old with the average age seeming to be 20/30 something…. Some a bit amorous come 6pm … so it seemed ! Loads of lovely beach side eateries. We only stayed one night so didn’t see the whole of the island. .

The whole atmosphere was fun and busy. Snorkelling was fabulous. My beginner surfing lessons couldn’t have been more perfect. The selection of eating and watering holes fantastic. I only had two gripes. The Island needed to get a barge in and clean up the rubbish. Leaving the Island was an absolute nightmare - there was nowhere for everyone to wait before walking onto the wharf, it was downright dangerous, made worse by the Port insisting on every passenger single filing through an office to pay a ‘Port Tax’ that was the equivalent of NZ$2.SuzanneNew Zealand - Scored 8.08.0

The stay at Gili was just what we needed, we live on Lombok so it was a pleasant change for a weekend break with my family…..Gili is really a tourist place with plenty to see and do however for a weekend getaway it was just perfect and the accommodation was really excellent and the staff were fantastic where we stayPaulAustralia

Obviously it is close to the bars, but i had no trouble sleeping an early nights rest before diving. Then when i wanted to go out i was close to everything! I can not fault it for the price. Fast cheap laundry too!! Again thank you to the staff
