We had booked a family room. This was right next to the hotel barrier, the balcony was also the terrace to the driveway. It smelt very musty in the room. We did not accept this room, we were then offered a deluxe bungalow with 2 extra beds, these were comfortable and also wide. The bungalow was nice. We liked the good food. The beach is also wide with lots of surfers. The traffic in Legian and Kuta is catastrophic. Therefore not suitable as a starting point for day trips. Pan-Asian hustle and bustle surrounds the hotel. But the hotel is quiet.

The food in the local restaurants was amazing and cheap,...
The food in the local restaurants was amazing and cheap, definitely the better option than eating in the hotel. There are many shops but they are all pretty similar, the traffic is crazy, definitely add an extra 30-60 minutes to your travel time anywhere (or better yet, go on a scooter). Be prepared to haggle to and to be accosted by hawkers trying to sell you anything and everything. Do not go down the back streets for services such as massage etc, they will draw you in with cheap prices and then add things on such as a foot scrub (seemingly innocuous) and then charge like a wounded bull for all the 'extras' they've given you. Make sure you set the price for whatever service you want to use before you take up the offer and don't let them give you anything extra without asking if they're going to charge first! Use GRAB (the local Uber), this is the best and easiest way to get around - the fares are prepaid so there's no stress about cost once you get to your destination. The 'day trips' where you do many attractions in one day seem like a great idea but in reality you spend more time driving than at the attractions, not so much fun.

The location was within walking distance for all your personal needs and entertainment. The transport whether by car or scooter is quick and easy to access. I would recommend the bicycle bar taxi as a welcome to Bali activity. There are plenty of tattoo shops if you want some ink. Any type of massage and spa available to meet your needs. Most services do not require an appointment, just walk in and ask or in turn it gets offered to you without you knowing that you actually need it. The food & drinks provided at all restaurants and eateries is well presented and don't have to wait long.

Continental breakfast was pretty average.
Continental breakfast was pretty average.
Internet access dropped out all the time and had to keep signing in.
Had to clean the floor myself with disinfectant wipes before walking on it.
Asked for a walk in shower because of our age. We were given a room with a very high bath you had to climb over.
The shower in the bath was on the side wall not on the end wall. This meant you had to stand sideways in the bath which is quite dangerous.

So much to do in Legian, so much to see.
So much to do in Legian, so much to see. Such a vibrant place with lots going on. Fantastic for shopping and eating out with very cheap prices. Lovely walk to Kuta and Legian beach. A pathway winds along the beach, with many little bars with sun loungers and beach umbrellas to relax and watch to surfies. Beautiful beaches. Night life has plenty going on, the choice is endless, love it!!
I absolutely loved the staff, I got to know most of them while I was staying for 8 nights. They were all so happy and lovely to us also very helpful!
Mozzarella restaurant has always been my favourite in Bali so to have that right at the door step was a massive plus and so cheap to always have 1 for 2 cocktails is a massive win. The rooms were cleaned every morning and there was a massive selection for breakfast! It is also in the most perfect spot. It’s so central to Seminyak and Kuta. I will definitely be going back to the Magani Hotel.
I found the hotel very comfortable; in fact I stayed eight consecutive night which was very pleasant. A few points to note:
The hotel location is ideal for tourists with easy access to Kuta, Legian and Seminyak.
All staff including security are very friendly.
The Mahata restaurant adjacent to the hotel provides a variety of foods from morning till night. I would say half of my meals are taken at this restaurant. Quality of the foods are excellent, which are served at very reasonable price.
Great location. Perfect enclosed Villa with beautiful gardens and magic pool set up with day bed and a kabana. Close to beach for relaxing and surfing. Close to major shopping streets, hotels, bars and cafes, but inside the villa compound we could have been anywhere in Bali. Staff were exceptional and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, including pickup from airport, day trips and arranging a pool fence for our 3 year old granddaughter. Just the perfect holiday.
Perfect sized hotel in a perfect position in Legian. AII staff were welcoming and friendly.
Beachfront on the doorstep with that goes with it. Restaurants, beach bars, and shopping surround the Puri Raja's. Breakfast overlooking the beach was another highlight,
Jaw dropping hotel in Legian region. Beautiful garden in historical Bali-style, clean, well equipped rooms, professional and extremely welcoming staff, tasty, home-made breakfast. We don’t want to leave 😊
