Pros: Beautiful room (stayed in Nomad) that was very sheltered from view. No view of the rice paddies but that wasn’t a deal breaker. Best shower of Bali. Lots of accommodations in the room (pool / shower / tub / awesome hanging net) Interesting construction. Temperature was cool enough at night to not need air conditioning, but I imagine it might be different at hotter times in the year. Massages were awesome, the photographer was great and very professional, and the flower bath was beautiful!

This place is awesome for couples. It's quiet, private, comfy, and romantic. Even if you're with friends or family, the villa is a great place to relax and party. We really enjoyed our time there.

Our stay at Kalamanthana absolutely made our trip! I can't really think of a single thing that could have been better. The hosts were amazing - helpful, friendly, accommodating - really went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. They helped to organise transfers to and from the cottage, arranged scooter rental, made great recommendations of places to go that matched our preferences, and were all round just great to talk to as well. The location is in a small village just outside of Sidemen. If you don't rent a car or scooter it may not be ideal but for us it was absolutely perfect. The scenery all around is absolutely stunning and the cottage itself overlooks a beautiful mountain valley covered in tropical rainforest. We were looking for somewhere that was not full of tourists and feels like 'authentic Bali' and this was it. If you don't like the heavy traffic, roads full of stores selling tat, and instagramers on swings that a lot of the more well-known areas of Bali are full of then you will probably love staying here as much as we did. The inside of the cottage is beautifully done with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Everything has been carefully thought about and the place was spotless. Super comfortable bed, Netflix, great shower with endless hot water and good pressure, unlimited environmentally friendly drinking water, delicious breakfasts (vegan catered for), and the ability to make real coffee - what more could anyone want?! We would happily stay here again and have been recommending it to everyone we know. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay :)

Our room has one of the best views we’ve ever seen. It was an incredible place to wake up. Comfy beds, nice bathrooms and lovely balcony. The host was wonderful and brought us breakfast and hot water for our coffee each morning. Perfect! The property is up the mountain and out of the way which was perfect for us but I can be a challenge to find. A kettle would have been nice for those who like to make their own tea and coffee. Those views and the host who helps out with anything you need makes your stay unforgettable 😊

Kadek, the two girls and the security guard were fantastic! They were always available if we needed anything and they remembered the things that we liked such as hot milk with coffee (they saw me warm it in the microwave) and then I had hot milk always with my breakfast coffee. They were attentive to every detail and still we always maintained our privacy. The location is superb and the view of mount Agung was breathtaking. I cannot recommend this place enough!

My stay was spectacular! This was my one night splurge of my trip, and it was worth it! Stunning facility, beautiful view, incredibly helpful staff. They even went to find ibuprofen for me when I showed up having just gotten hurt while hiking. The food was great, there was a ton of drinking water provided (both refrigerated and room temperature), and arranging meals was easy. I wish I had been able to stay longer!
