A beautiful place to stay. It felt quite grand, but so comfortable and welcoming at the same time. Such a comfortable bed and so lovely to have a very spacious room. It was incredibly helpful to get some washing done here as well. Nothing was a problem. An excellent place to stay.

The room had a brand-new feel to it. Everything was impeccably clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. There was everything one could need in the room including TV, hair blower, a kettle (with tea/coffee/sugar etc.) and a shared fridge just outside the door. The views were amazing and although the location is not central, it only takes 15-20 minutes to walk to the centre of Doolin. Own means of transport is however recommended to get around, especially on rainy days. The house is family-run by a great couple who went beyond their way to ensure our stay was most enjoyable.

Everything about this was great. The reception was very friendly. The room was very spacious and had a nice ocean view. It was walking distance from restaurant. The breakfast was among the best Full Irish Breakfasts I've had this far. It's a shame we only stayed for 1 night.

It's wonderful. Even though it is a guest house, there is still privacy. We walked for dinner the 2 nights we stayed, excellent restaurants right there, don't miss the fish n chips, Buffalo chicken wings and trad music at McDermotts! The ladies at Mountain Aven are so nice. The breakfast is *Not* to be missed, they have everything and refills of big mugs of delicious coffee, not that instant stuff.

Ollie's walking tour of the Cliffs.

Ollie's walking tour of the Cliffs. Amazing experience you only get with this tour through private land. It is a moderate hike so wear good shoes and be prepared to climb over or through fences. Great shopping, restaurants and pubs. And of course, friendly people everywhere.

Friendly, fun lots to do in a beautiful area.

Friendly, fun lots to do in a beautiful area. In two days we visited the Burren Smokehouse, went on the Doolin Ferry to see the Cliffs of Moher and Harry Potter's Cave, we visited Doolin Cave (a highlight), we played pitch and putt - twice, we listened to traditional Irish music in McGanns which had a great food and really fun atmosphere and fab staff. We had a drink at Gus O'Connors (again very friendly and fun) and lovely fish and chips at Russell's Fish Bar. We made a quick visit to Lahinch and the beach on the easy return trip to Shannon Airport.

Beautiful little town. Close to everything you want to see. If you take a ride to Connor’s Pass stop and purchase something from a man that has a little craft table set up with rocks he paints with Connor’s pass and Ireland on them.

Dooling is a nice "base" for exploring the region. Of course the caves are nice but Aran Islands are boat ride away. Same for the Cliffs of Moher. The Burren has some nice spots and is great for several hiking paths. Dooling town has some nice eating places but we asked our host for his opinion.

Doolin was a great place to stay with great access to the Aran Islands. The Doolin Ferry company provides a great service to the Islands and sightseeing around the Cliffs of Moher. The pubs in Doolin are great for food, drinks and lively free music.

I went to Doolin a few times and I was very disappointed as they closed the path from the museum to Liscannor and the path from the museum to Doolin. So you basically have a small area to walk and obviously it is crowded during summer season, it is like a highway of people. At least before we could walk a bit more and avoid the crowd, sit in the grass, I used to go sit near o'brien tower and as I am not stupid, I did not risk going to close to the cliffs as I dont want to fall and die. But now it is not as enjoyable. Moreover, the paths are closed but they make you pay 15euros per person for the car park because they include the museum but we didn't want to visit the museum. We used to pay the car park for the day just for the car not per person and if we wanted to visit the museum, we would pay the tickets. Really the place has changed and not in a good way. I love the tour boats though (as usual), and the restaurants/pubs are more than fine

Exceptional attention to detail, beautiful welcome gift of little chocolate cake slices and a personalised welcome note. Lots of promotion of local home made products as you come into the hotel, in the room and also at breakfast. The breakfast was top class, everything presented beautifully and delicious. Dinner was also amazing but quite expensive.

The location is close to the main pub and to the start of the cliffs walk, you can get to both walking. The room was very big with a spacious bed, a good shower and heated floor in the bathroom. The breakfast was good, not five star hotel but still good value for money. The room had a lovely view and we could use the lounge to cook our dinner
