Very nice clean property, in a great location by the canal and 10 mins walk into town. the room was lovely and the staff amazing. I had asked for early check in and though not promised they had a room for us at 10am. We also needed the business center to send some urgent work documents home and the staff were beyond helpful and friendly.

    Dun Laoghaire is a hip spot away from the huddle of the city Center. Great walking on the pier, waterfront and through the village. Some lovely restaurants and coffee shops . Breakfast at the Vanilla bean was lovely. The famous Forty Ft swimming spot is a short walk. Lots of quaint shops and vintage secondhand stores scattered along the Main Street . Good public transport on busses , trains and taxis . Aircoach to Dublin Airport from Marine rd opp City Hall. Market in the Peoples park is well worth a visit if you’re there over the weekend. Childrens fun fair on the waterfront runs daily from 12 noon till 7 pm . €3/ ride.

    The selection of shops and restaurants really good.

    The selection of shops and restaurants really good. Good access to buses and trains. An area for cycling .Pavilion theatre.excellent.You might spot a famous actor in audience. People in Dun Laoghaire are friendly and helpful.I also stayed in a guesthouse which was great too.

    It's an older part of dublin that hasn't been ruined by modern development. Very much a place for the wealthy to live but fun to visit. Wonderful old buildings and still has a village by the sea atmosphere. And easy access to the city on the dart. Plenty of good bars and restaurants and unusual shops

    Amazing beaches, great pubs and places to eat. Would recommend Bi bi’s, The sunshine cafe, O’Loughlins bar, and Two foxes. Forty foot is only a 10 min walk. Dalkey 8 min drive and definitely worth a visit, especially The Queens.

    Beautiful place, there is a black & white picture in the ladies at the dryer. You should up date this photo with a new picture of today’s Dun Laoghaire bay . Take one every ten years . With the different fashion . Different boats in the bay!

    Its a lovely intimate town with good shops, cafes, and pubs. The marine museum was really interesting, well worth the visit. The sea frot is also lovely, a bit on the wild side but thats a plus for me.

    What was exceptional was that EVE on Reception was just SO helpful with giving us directions to the Dublin Port for the ferry to Holyhead as we thought the ferry went from Dun Laoghaire. Even when she went home she sent directions back to Reception who printed them out and put them under our bedroom door, quite exceptional and she is a total STAR. Cannot thank her enough as it made our journey so much easier.

    The location was great, right near the sea. Nice ambience in the hotel. Area around has interesting shops and bars and eateries. Beautiful old buildings. A quirky place close to dublin city on the dart. As a mature traveller I would rather stay here than in the city centre

    Sea view room had a splendid view on the bay. The days I stayed in Royal Marine were bright & sunny. Great opportunity to get out for walks. Dun Laoghaire is like a small town at this stage, it's so self contained. Complimentary parking.
