Hotel Città Dei Papi is just 220 yards from the Anagni exit off highway A1, south of Rome. It offers comfortable rooms with free Wi-Fi, and free parking. Having arrived late evening the man at reception was very kind in getting my check in over in a jolly manner which made me feel welcomed and not just another traveler. Having dropped my luggage into a lovely room I headed for the bar and served by the same gentleman to a 660cl beer very nice and a super meal. Nothing was any problem. Adequate shower and a very comfortable bed . Breakfast is pre-order due to cov19 but you can get something different in the morning should you change your mind so not an issue. Breakfast staff very professional and again happy to serve with a smile 😊 Ample parking 👍👍👍

Historical Domus is located in Anagni. The apartment has city views and is 8 miles from Fiuggi. Parking spot was not made clear Important to know if driving.
A medieval jewel in the Lazio, which is unjustly ignored. Well worth a visit, with the nearby Ferentino and Casamari abbey. A very authentic atmosphere which will make you feel back to the Middle Ages!!! Visit, visit, visit!!!!
atmosferic Medieval-Renaissance city interesting architectural scenery. On a hill with great view on the valley and mountains, great historical background. Must visit the Cathedral and the Bonifacio palace
Anagni has some of the most important and well preserved Romanesque frescoes in Italy. They now allow you to take photos in the church crypt which is an improvement on the total ban which used to apply. The church precinct is beautiful and the old town full of character. The local cesenere del Piglio wines are worth a try.
If you are travelling along, you can't miss a visit to this place, especially to the cathedral ... the town has kept the ancient structure of a somehow "walled" town, and the historic center is beautiful just even for a walk and for the outstanding view of the valley below and the mounts in view ...
Anagni is a strange entity in which many citizens and the administration just don't seem to realize the extraordinary value of their locality for tourism.. How great if they would develop resources to make it a tourist gem. The city is lovely, as well as countryside. they need easy transport to and from the nearby train stations. Sgurgola is actually closer than the Anagni-Fiuggi station. Then a tourist office or some meeting points to facilitate movement -- provide info on the possibilities, the opening hours. Finally organize a service with vans to get tourists around, to choose itineraries in the surrounding area, with guides available.
Cathedral is a must see particularly the frescoes in the crypt and Roman Mithraeum underneath. Interesting historic buildings in the long one way main street leading to the piazza where the cathedral is situate. Note main street runs way from Piazza traffic wise and you cannot drive up that way but approach from the other side of the piazza
Anagni
The decor is charming & everything was very clean with lovely touches, such as a ribbon tied around each bunch of towels. Fliwer boxes decorate the cobblestone walkway into the b&b. The manager was very nice & made sure she put us in touch with someone who spoke English. They were very kind and we loved the location & comfort of this beautiful b&b in the old center of Anagni. Everything was within walking distance & it is definitely a place you want to walk.
Anagni
Everything was perfect! The room was very modern and comfortable and it was lovely to have access to a small kitchen area, though we didn't use it. Alberto and his wife were extremely hospitable, making sure we had everything we needed during our stay and recommending a fantastic restaurant for dinner (delivery!) The hotel is well located, just outside the center of Anagni, with private parking and approximately 15 min. walk to the main Piazza.
