Agriturismo La Peonia in Bagnoregio provides accommodations with free WiFi, an 18-minute walk from Cività di Bagnoregio. Guests staying at this farm stay can use the fully equipped kitchen. We loved everything about La Peonia. Raphaele and his wife Emanuella live just next door. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Picked us up from the station, and invited us to a fabulous party at their restaurant. The flat is a lot nicer than it looks in the photos, very clean and nicely decorated. All comforts you could want when you are travelling. The olive oil is superb. The flat is on two floors, perfect for a couple or a small family of 3. It’s just off the ‘high street’ in Bagnoregio. Walking distance from everything. The village itself is just lovely, quaint, quiet and the Civita is the main attraction. We enjoyed walking around the village, and the food and wine. We will have very fond memories of this place, and La Peonia is certainly one of them. Thank You!

The property does come with a parking pass that is good for all of Bagnoregio if you want to drive. We loved the fireplace too!!

Love the old world charm with the convenience of modern amenities. Beautiful panoramic view of the valley below. Very peaceful once the tourists leave for the day. Parking can be an issue. The trip up the bridge is a challenge especially with luggage. All but one of the restaurants were booked or closed at dinner which is inconvenient in such a remote location. Definitely worth the stay!
Definitively worth a visit, absolutely enchanting and unique place... on weekends, it gets very busy though, try to experience it alone in silence by getting there on weekdays, before 9 or after 19:00.
Civita de Bagnoregio is a tiny stone village separated from the town of Bagnoregio by a pedestrian only bridge ... a must see for anyone interested in hilltop villages ... it faces an uncertain future because of the erosion of its clay (as opposed to its volcanic) foundations and the cost of maintaining its built heritage ... see it soon!
Only visited Civita di Bagnoregio as this dramatic, decaying hilltop village has been on my bucket list for a few years. Crossing the 300 meter walkway and entering through the ancient city gate was like entering a time warp. The precariously perched buildings and gardens are lovely and well maintained. The panoramic views of the surrounding valley and hills are breathtaking. Emotions are mixed due to the consideration that Civita is slowly decaying into the valley below and will one day be no more. Our evening meal at one of the few restaurants was served outside and consisted of well prepared local dishes and wine. Delightful! Gazing at the stars from the church steps in a silent piazza capped off an incredible day.
The town sits in the middle of a Tuscan valley. Roosters crow at 5am in the distance but the town itself is very quiet. There are some caves and walking paths to explore, along with the history of the town and the buildings. We only ate dinner once but it was the best Italian food we had the whole trip. What we really loved was the hospitality of this town. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. We felt like they were happy to have us there. This town is off the beaten path a little but I am so glad we made our way here. It has been on my list of places to see for a long time and it proved to be my favorite spot in Italy.

The view from the room we stayed in and from the breakfast room is simply fabulous. We have never stayed in such a peaceful place. Despite being in such a peaceful location, which feels like secluded, actually it's really close to the Bagnoregio city centre with several local restaurants. The hosts were friendly and helpful. They provided is with entry tickets to Civita' Bagnoregio and provided several suggestions for short daily excursions in the region.

The property is located in a quite place. The host provide a free parking permit so you can locate the car everywhere in the town. But only street parking is available. You can also enter Civita di Bagnoregio for free but as we visited it during the night and early morning the entrance was open. Apartment is quit cozy and nice, located just 20 minutes walk and 5 minutes drive by car from Civita di Bagnoregio.

After you find the B&B, it is a great farm setting retreat away from the noise and hassle of touring. Wished we could of stayed longer. Great view from below of Bagtown and Civita. EZ parking. Clean, nice, tastefully decorated room at ground level. Our wonderful host did not speak English; her daughter does but I did not meet her.

Chiara’s place in the Civita is amazing! So quiet and quaint and it makes you feel like a local. She wasn’t able to check us on but she made sure we knew what to do and responded timely. Christiana (her friend) made us feel local and offered us a great place to eat. Loved Civita!
