I answered above that the length of stay was just right, but with half decent weather my stay would have needed to be longer as there are quite a few things to see and the area has beautiful nature ideal for walking.
Sleepy but not small town with no freeway connection / railway station but much charm and character [old town ] with plenty of sights to see , things to do [ nearby skiing and hiking ] and also shops. Clean air.
People was very kind! The city is near to beautiful places like Lago Maggiore, other storic places like Torino. Not easy to connect to wifi but resolver the problem buyinh a local temporal SIM for few euros.
Biella is a beautiful city and has an old quarter and The Piazzo is a beautiful area with its old 12th Century buildings and spectacular views of the Mountains and surrounding area. I loved it and I cannot wait to go back.
I woudn't go out of my way to go to Biella again - prefer Ivrea. Not much going on, but since it was very wet weather it's true that the Gli Orsi shopping center was good to have to stay dry at least!
Lovely old mediaeval town centre perched on a hill overlooking the modern city. Funicular railway takes you straight up to the centre where you can stroll cobbled streets or relax in a bar or one of the retaurants hidden under the old arches running alongside the streets. The newer parts of the city are less attractive, with a somwhat neglected appearance in many parts. I undestand that historically well known as a centre of textile and garment manufacturing, and the route into the city are linedcwith many factory shops and outlets from designer brands.
