Hotel in Castellabate
Palazzo Gentilcore is set in a 17th-century building in the center of Castellabate, 29 mi from Salerno and 31 mi from Amalfi. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. The location is perfect. Few steps from central piazza, shops and restaurants but still incredibly quiet and with best views. The building has been completely renovated, took care of every single detail, excellent taste, simply beautiful place. Room was perfect too. Extremely clean. Comfortable bed, an incredible terrace, modern shower, lovely decoration. Breakfast was very vast, with home made pastries and sweets, fresh fruits, yogurt, cheese (mozzarella and ricotta) and salami, breads, toasts.. really good. Last but not least. The staff was amazing. Always with a smile, helping, trying to make you feel home. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and we found it extremely good. Restaurant was closed the second night, so we tried the ‘in theory’ best rated restaurant in town, and we definitely prefer the Palazzolo dining experience. Perfect stay

Great location, very helpful and kind staff. The breakfast was exceptional - a mix of American, Israeli, and Italian :-) = you can choose from a la carte menu, and - it is included in the room price. The restaurant is very good and flexible. We enjoyed every minute and it was a great finale to a great vacation in south Italy.

Enjoy stunning sea views and romantic sunsets from the garden of Mareluna Hotel, located on the seafront at San Marco di Castellabate. This elegant Art Deco style building has a striking pink façade. This hotel was a real find! It is located in a beautiful small village with a harbour and no, or very few, British tourists. It is a short pleasant walk to a wonderful sandy beach that is massively better than anything we found on the Amalfi coast/Sorrento. We had a room with a sea view that had the most perfect sunset with Capri in the distance. The building, grounds and pool were great. The half board was good - Christo our waiter was superb! Although we were the only English visitors a good number of key staff spoke good English to make the visit go brilliantly.

Set 2953 feet from the sea and surrounded by the Parco Nazionale del Cilento e del Vallo di Diano Park, Hotel Hermitage is in Castellabate. It offers a swimming pool and a sun terrace. We had the opportunity to spend a very relaxing day in this amazing hotel located in the quite nature of the cilento coast. We woke up with a stunning sea view, just a stone’s throw from the hotel, and had one of the most delicious breakfasts of our life on the beautiful terrace. It takes passion and commitment to build a successful hospitality and this place has both. Hope to get back very soon!

The Residenza d'Epoca Tamara offers apartments in the historic center of Castellabate. It is in the heart of the Cilento National Park and has beautiful views of the sea, 1.2 mi away. The hotel room was perfect. The building is really beautiful as well. It seems the hotel even appeared in a well know Italian movie. The view from the balcony and the garden are just fantastic. Lello, the person at the reception, was really helpful and friendly. I totally recommend this hotel.

A lovely little town and area. Great beaches, restaurants and Cafes. Very peaceful in September with beautiful weather. Caffetteria Torretta on the roundabout south of San Marco is a great place to stop for takeaway snacks and cakes on the way to our favourite beach at Casa del Conte
Being there in late September it was a quiet, nice and warm village, with a few nice beaches, perfect water and overall a wuite relaxing atmosphere, in contrast to Salerno and everything north of it (Pompeji, Napels, Rome, etc.)
beautiful place, very fine views, not too overrun with tourists. Our accommodation was excellent. Very friendly, helpful host in a beautiful house, well equipped, great views from balcony and plenty of tranquil privacy. Easy stroll to shop. Much recommended.
This is a great hotel in a beautiful location .It is awkward to get to from Naples (organise a shared taxi)cheap by train. 7.50 for an adult..bus from airport at Naples currently 5€ very efficient and always packed !!!Be prepared to pay 40€ for a taxi from Agropoli station to San Marco but if one of you can speak Italian you'll get it reduced !!! Area popular with Italian tourists and wedding goers from Ireland and UK. .beautiful location for weddings. Not a cheap area or hotel but worth it for a wonderful peaceful retreat !!
Small community but vibrant night and beach activity. Good restaurants and beautiful SPA. Nice little harbor with a ferryboat for Capri. Neighbor towns are also beautiful. A lot of tradition, events, good food, beautiful views and relaxing coast lines. Everybody is friendly with tourists, also people that do not speak English do their best to be nice.
It’s a very quiet area - seems to be used mainly by Italians for their holidays. Being able to speak some Italian is definitely helpful. The beach was lovely and the village was pretty. You need to have insect repellents. There are plenty of reasonably priced places to eat but one of our favourite things was to buy olives, meat, cheese and bread and eat on our balcony with a bottle of local wine!
Great experience. Tough to get to at the top of hilltop, but worth the drive and free parking. The staff were exceptional, especially in the restaurant. We had 2 wonderful dinners and the server, Nello and the chef were incredible. The food and presentation were exceptional. But it was the hospitality, service and friendliness of the 2 of them that made it a special experience. The breakfast was the best we've had in Italy and again the presentation and explaination of every dish was great.

Very nice apartment in Santa Maria di Castellabate. The host was very nice, he answered to our question and request quickly and helped us in booking a spot in a beach club on a busy sunday when it was fully booked everywhere. The 3-bedroom apartment is big and has a nice terrace. Easy to reach following google maps. Nice and ample parking area. The beds and pillow are supercomfy. The kitchen+tools are basic, typical for a holiday accomodation.
An extremely comfortable hotel with an excellent private terrace and outdoor furniture. Good shower and aircon, comfortable bed, excellent food, friendly and efficient staff. Magnificent sea views from the room and restaurant. Useful to have a shop on site from which we could buy paninis and fruit for lunch. Pleasant walk alomg the sea front . Quet.

The service of the host was exceptional. Very professional and assisting with all our questions. The breakfast was very fresh and had a variety of choices, something you wouldn't expect that easily in Italy.
