The hotel was very nice and right across the street from the beach. Large bathroom with spa-like tub.There were only two restaurants close by.. Free parking was on the street.

Nothing. No one was there to meet us. He had to telephone someone to open the doors. Then the Wi-Fi didn’t work. It worked if we were on the balcony. We were told breakfast was at 7. It was at 8 and was all cold food. We were told it started at 7 and there would be hot food. Like eggs. There were not. The ac didn’t work. It was hot. Sleeping was difficult.

Eddie was wonderful, Villa Sul Mer was an excellent value and perfect location just across the street from the beach. All the guests were interesting and breakfast was always ready and welcome - I would stay again for sure - thanks Villa Sul Mer!

this accommodation was a hidden gem, firstly our host, palma, was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. the house itself is great, very big and spacious with two large bedrooms (air con in both) a very big open plan lounge and dining area with a decent kitchen and a good size bathroom. it was really hot in italy during july so the big ceiling fans in the lounge and dining area were fantastic combined with the air con in the bedrooms. the beach is literally across the road! you can see it through the end of the walkway from the front porch! the water is CRYSTAL CLEAR and very calm, the pebble beach is a surprise for us (australia has white sand) but awesome because you aren't covered in sand at the end of the day! you will need an umbrella on the beach as there is no shade from any trees, we bought a small beach umbrella from the local supermarket. be aware there is no public transport in this area (no buses only a train station) so getting to the local supermarket is a solid 15 minute walk back into town, across the road from the train station. (there are other supermarkts too). make sure you do head back into town and check out the shops, lots of great cafes and some local stores. we really enjoyed our time in melito, we relaxed so much after a week of running around rome!
