We stayed one night. The room was very clean had one queen bed a twin bed and sofa bed. The sofa bed was not a pull out but instead another twin bed which served its purpose. Breakfast was included and had a good selection. This hotel is located across the street from the sea which has beautiful views although the room we had did not have a window nor view.
It’s in the heart of the center which made it great for walking around and to markets, restaurants.
It has an elevator which was great for luggage.
I would stay here again but next time with a sea view.
Clara was very welcoming. Unfortunately the boat excursions were not available due to the windy weather. They offer a cool package for hotel guests and all day boat excursions to the islands of Egadi Islands (Favignana/Levanzo). We wish the weather was good for us to take advantage of this offering- next time.

Kite-shaped Trapani makes an impressive sight from lofty Mount Erice, connected to the peninsula below by cable car. On a clear day, the mountain also offers views of Tunisia - one destination of ferries from Trapani Port, alongside Cagliari, Pantelleria and the offshore Egadi Islands.
Overlooking the port is the old town, where arched doorways on narrow streets open onto many cheap apartments and B&Bs on Booking.com. Shabby chic façades sit alongside historic churches, such as understated Trapani Cathedral, somewhat lost amid elegant Corso Vittorio Emanuele, where pavement cafes sit in front of pastel-coloured buildings and metal balconies.
At the tip of the peninsula is the fortress-like Tower of Ligny lighthouse, now housing the Prehistory and Sea Museum. The Colombaia Castle protects the port from an island to the south, while in the other direction the sweeping coastline passes some beachfront hotels with swimming pools.
Villa Margherita Park offers shade from the Mediterranean sun, and Triton’s Fountain graces a neighbouring square. The simple façade of the Basilica of Maria Santissima Annunziata hides the treasures within, including a statue of the Madonna of Trapani which is at the heart of the Easter ‘Misteri’ celebrations.
Between the city and Trapani-Birgi Airport, historic windmills sit beside salt pans. The Salt Museum provides details of this major industry.

We visited Erice, the hilltop town but the Funivia was closed for maintenance and we had to pay for an expensive taxi. The buses were few and far between so there were long queues for the bus and a fight to get on in order to return to Trapani in the afternoon.
Erice is well worth a visit. You can buy a ticket there which gives you access to all of the places if interest. They charge to use the public toilets. Allow around 4 hours.

We stayed in the old city part of Trapani and it is gorgeous...
We stayed in the old city part of Trapani and it is gorgeous and easy to get around. It's largely flat, or what slopes the roads have are very gentle. Getting around on foot was easy (definitely worth downloading the map of Sicily so you have offline access to it, if you haven't budgeted for roaming data during your trip). We never felt unwelcome. There were always a few folks who might look at us, or take a second glance, but no one was rude or mean to us at all. We didn't try anyone's patience by holding hands. My spouse was usually identified by most folks as femme (which is completely fine and to be expected) though they weren't doing anything in particular to present that way (just wore shorts and teeshirts, no skirts). Also, because of our size, we're used to folks taking a second glance at us. So we're never sure if it's because of our size or my spouse's ambiguous gender presentation, anyway. It's just another part of what it's like moving through the world as us.
There were many restaurants, bars, cafes, pastry bakeries, gelaterias, and little shops selling doodads. Finding a grocery store for buying a few provisions (like bottles of soda) for a reasonable price was a little challenging but we did find places to go. The main pedestrian ways were very easy to find and get around in. Prices were a bit higher in certain places, but that's to be expected in a tourist area. They were still lower than I'd budgeted for. All of the restaurants had armless chairs that were sturdy enough to support our large bodies. Because it's such an old place with old buildings, places of business tend to be smaller and moving through the spaces can be a little challenging when you're big, but nothing we were trying to do/see was inaccessible to us.

We only stayed four days, but could easily have stayed two weeks and really explored Sicily and the islands around it. We sailed for a day, visited the amazing medieval town on the mountain close by.
Taprani itself has two coast lines due to the nature of the thin spit of land it is built on.
The North shore has gorgeous beeches, the south has a fabulous port with sailing, power craft and ferries to the islands.
The old town center at night is not to be missed with a gentle but humming atmosphere.
Affordable, the only advice is parking in town is almost absent, or costly but public transport is so cheap; 1 euro anywhere!!!. so find a car park out of town and either walk or bus to your appartment.

The beach directly around the town of Trapani, ok , water warm small beach which is rocky sandy beach. The 8 hour egadi island excursion I took with Get your Guide, however was the best out of 8 beach/ boat excursions I took . Take any tour that offers Favignana and levanzo( an island 1 hour free time stop ). The Aegadian islands are the prettiest offerings Tripani has . I walked around town late at night (11:00) and found a fun music thing happening at a plaza. It’s a good city to take excursions from.

Beautiful beaches for swimming.
Beautiful beaches for swimming. Great to be amongst Italians vacationing. Street food and other options for dinner. Supermarkets to sort yourself out. Lots of nearby and good drive places. We stayed 6 nights but could have done more.
We walked everywhere.
Erice was so busy and touristy that we didn’t really get much out of it.
Went to Grotta Mangiapane - do that!!
Big drive to a Therme which was cool.
Day trip to Favignana where we hired electric bikes. Don’t go to the first stand - we only paid €25 for the day and they were charging €40! Also - be smart and ask for a helmet. Don’t ride in the slippery inner town roads - I fell three times (yes I’m clumsy).

The breakfast was excellent, with a variety of both sweet and savoury food and espresso coffees. The hotel also arranged our taxi back to the airport, which saved us loads of money compared to uber and other services. The staff were all very helpful and willing to go above and beyond to help us and make our stay more pleasant. The location is also excellent - walking distance from the beach and port, as well as many good restaurants. Have already recommended the hotel to a colleague thinking of visiting Sicily!
This hotel is across the street from the port and a little less than a 1km walk into the center of the old downtown area--to which we walked for the Good Friday Misteri di Trapani. The hotel is modern and clean with large rooms, very comfortable beds, and a parking lot, so if you are touring Sicily by automobile, it is an excellent choice. This was my second stay at the Tiziano. The first was in 2016, and this stay was in 2023. The hotel was excellent then and is excellent now.
Fantastic apartment, spotlessly clean and very spacious. The hosts were very welcoming and kind providing us with amazing cookies, food and drinks on arrival. The garden was fabulous and the location perfect, easy walking distance to the Erice cable car station. Car parking was very convenient and free. Our group rated this apartment the best for our trip around Sicily. Highly recommended.
It is a perfect place and good value for your money. The owner is so friendly and extremely kind.
The breakfast is amazing. We had fresh pastries and specialties from Sicily each morning. The place is really quiet and comfy. There are buses to reach the city center and the beach is just 10-15 min by walk.
What an incredible stay we had. Thank you Michele, you’re such a wonderful person !
Serena is amazing! She is so friendly and passionate. She will explain to you in detail all the attractions in the city. The hostel is very clean and the kitchen is very big and nice. Trapani is a pretty small town. I didnt had a lot of expections when I came, but it ended up to be one of my best stays in Italy.
(thank you again for getting me the medication when I was sick :)
