We stayed in the 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment with sea views. It was very clean and organized nicely. The reception provided beach towels and umbrella upon request. My husband and I enjoyed nightly aperitivo on the balcony. There is a grocery store around the corner which made getting snacks and drinks super easy. We enjoyed walking Via Del Mare in the evening and sampling some of the local cuisine. We had our own parking space at the hotel and enjoyed exploring Southern Sardinia from here. We would definitely come back!

Actually we didn't like a lot of things in all Sardegna...
Actually we didn't like a lot of things in all Sardegna island but not only on that beach:
- very big difference between expectation and reality
- absolutely everything is unreasonably expensive - EVEN IN OCTOBER
- delicious Italian food in restaurants is a myth and very expensive
- there's nothing to see on the island.
- No normal attractions
- The capital, Cagliari, also has nothing interesting to see.
- The island is dirty, garbage in bags is dumped on the roadsides.
- There are reeds all over the island.
- In short, if you want tasty seafood, music, delicious food, nomal service and prices - go to Spain. Or better still, go to Tenerife.
I categorically do not recommend you to rest in Sardinia.

It's a pity that all 3 boats excursions were cancelled during my stay due to bad weather. Too long with bad weather. If I could have done all my excursions, the planned length of time would be perfect. Check the weather, it can be very windy on Sardinia island. It's not always nice and sunny like in the postcards.
The village/town is simple and small. It has some good restaurants. Walking distance or easy by taxi to beaches in the area if you don't drive.
Beautiful beaches in this area. Quite a few hiking trails.
La Vela is a very good restaurant.
I have heard that Sa Takkita is good but need to book a table in advance because it's very popular.
Good ice cream shops in town.
A good Foccasia small place in town with quite a few choices of crazy ingredients for foccasia.
When you need a taxi, you need to call.

Don't go to Villasimius if you are looking for an old town with character, a good choice of trattorie, or deserted beaches.
However, if you just want a beach holiday, it offers nice beaches and crystal clear sea

we stayed in Villasimius for 11 nights in an apartment with a short walk to the centre of town, we visited in the beginning of September, very lively town with lots of restaurants to choose from, we love doing activities on our holidays, important to note that the beaches are protected as a natural resource so there is no water sports such as banana boats, paragliding etc, but there is SUP and plenty of boat trips, we did the glass bottom boat, and hired a boat for the day which was amazing we also went on a QUAD experience for 3 hours which was the best fun and a great experience, and there is a water park called Diverland about a 40 min drive from Villasimius

Very nice little town, the Italian vibe is so sparkly there!
Very nice little town, the Italian vibe is so sparkly there! We enjoyed every day, cause it is beautiful, and there are so many good restaurants and gelaterias.
The only one thing which was not so good, that the Simius beach is around 2 km far from the center, and if you have no rented scooter/bike/auto, it is pretty hard to walk down there in 35 degrees and up back after a long day. I saw a kind of mini taxi a few times (tuk-tuk), but it was not available when we were on our way to the beach. A vehicle is needed to enjoy the holiday there!

Small cosy town with many restaurants and some shops.
Small cosy town with many restaurants and some shops. Close to very beautiful beaches. A bit more expensive compared to Cagliari. Would recommend visiting! We split our 7 days in Sardinia between Villasimius and Cagliari - which was a good set up for us.

Lovely little apartment with all the necessary amenities. We stayed for 5 nights and really enjoyed it. Very comfortable and ample space for 2 people. Lots of free parking nearby and close enough that we could walk to the town centre. Plenty of lovely beaches within a 10-20 minute drive. Fly screens on the windows and doors was a big plus in the evenings. Kitchen has all you should need for dinners and coffee/teas etc
Had a great stay at Hotel Belvir - the location was perfect for being able to explore Villasimius by foot, with a lot of restaurants and bars a few minutes' walk away and the beach in 25 minutes walk. Everybody at the hotel was really friendly and Simona gave us a lot of helpful advice about parking, restaurants and beaches in the area.
Rokkaria Apartments is very well kept with a full time caretaker looking after garden - "premium feeling"
Location is great; quiet but only a very short walk from city center, close to the beach for being in the Villasimius city
Apartment is from I belive 2000 and in good condition compared to many older Sardinia properties
Great place in a quiet area not far from the beach and the town centre, had a nice room with a kitchen and a terrace, simple but good value for money. You can do your own barbecue at the hotel, which is cool. Keep in mind that the reception closes at 8pm.
Very nice small hotel in Villasimius.
Thanks a lot to the host. We enjoyed our stay, the breakfast was great. Thanks for the tips what to do around (beaches, hikes,…).
