Wonderful place. We enjoyed everything about it (find the little gem which is the natural mineral pool - so refreshing!). The staff are wonderful -- friendly, helpful and attentive. Ochi Rios typical tourist location in Jamaica where specific populations are served. There are hidden gems to be found but you have to search them out. Insiders stay up in the hills above Ochi and drive down. The toll road is not far so you can explore other parts of the island. Ocho Rios has a very small town feel. You feel safe, the locals are friendly. They have all the modern day convenience, grocery stores, restaurants dine in take out. Dunno River Fall-FABULOUS, Shopping Mall, fabulous, Miss T restaurant delicious food and service- I highly recommend Getting around by foot or taxi inexpensive and easy. It is still a friendly, open, safe coastal town. Lovely old market, great for buying local produce, and trendy clothes. Having the bar at the beach front. I would describe it as a great hide away, to relax and enjoy the beautiful sunshine. It is not a large hotel, so it keeps it personal. The lady and the young man at the front desk was always very helpful and friendly. I also liked that there was a Jamaican breakfast on offer every day.
