JR Inn Hakodate, Hakodate Danshaku Club Hotel & Resorts, and Hotel Paco Hakodate got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Hakodate.
Hakodate is a cute city with an easy-to-use public transportation system. The main areas of interest have their own separate charm. Don't miss the red brick warehouses or the morning market for a sharp contrast of Western and Japanese cultures. The onsens make a perfect end to a day of travel. Cheap accommodation is limited so book your spaces early (I recommend Share Hotel Hakoba). Bring walking shoes and and an empty stomach; there is lots to see and eat there
Hakodate was a great location. It's regional but feels like a thriving city. Absolutely recommend taking the cable car up to Mount Hakodate at sunset as its a truly incredible experience (and pretty cheap). Likewise Goryokaku Park is stunning and well worth the trip out.
Beautiful place that promise you a peaceful and exciting to explore more. Their calmness live stiles and friendly make me enjoyable here. A lot of nature panoramic will keep Hakodate/Hokaido long last in mind
Very pretty city! The locals were nice and the food was great! Would have liked to have seen more but we're only there for a few days. Aesthetically, absolutely sunny in the snow. We came in February during a heavy snow. That combined with the illuminations and the architecture of the city, it was very lovely to rummage around in the snow and observe. The La'Gent is a great hotel with excellent proximity to the train station and food.
Small town feeling with lots of natural charm. Not too many people and plenty of space to walk around. The town has an interesting history and some beautiful scenery. Getting around is relatively easy, with most spots easily and conveniently accessible via the tram and/or on foot. Favourite spots included Motomachi, Goryokaku fort (and the adjacent tower from which the fort can be viewed from above), the morning seafood market and of course the spectacular night view from the top of Mt. Hakodate. Recommended eating spots in the market include Uni Murakami Honten for the best fresh uni (sea urchin), Ikura-tei for great seafood donburi and Ni-ban kan seafood restaurant, where we ate the delicious local Hanasakigani crab. Outside the market, we enjoyed Mei Mei Tei for jingis kan (lamb BBQ) and soup curry with lamb cutlets, and (of course) the famous local hamburger chain Lucky Pierrot (bay branch), as well as the Flower Picnic Cafe in Motomachi for the most insta-worthy interior and delicious cupcakes. While the old British Consulate is a charming building, I am afraid they really don't know how to do scones properly (for scones, the gold standard in Japan is definitely British Hills in Fukushima); we would avoid that next time.
Hakodate is a nice city to visit and there are more interesting lace and attractions to see but unfortunately I have only one day for sightseeing. I went to Hakodate Morning market. then catch a cable to Mount Hakodate to see the city views. It's beautiful scenery on the top view. from Mt. Hakodate. I will com back to explore more places if I have a chance to visit Hakodate again. Thanks.
The location is superb, right in front of Hakodate Station, you even can see it when you step out of the Station. There are several bus stops near the hotel to go to main attractions in the city. The size of the room is big, spacious for 4 single beds and 3 suitcases. The bathroom is rather small, the shower and sink is connected so you can only use either one, but okay. They have coin laundry and microwave also. And they can help with takyubin. Our room's view was the entrance of the station and it's beautiful in winter.
Excellent location to see most of the tourist attraction in Hakodate. The entrance of the Hotel is very large and impressive. The breakfast Buffet seerved was very good, respecting all the Hygiene standart in times of Covid-19. Before going to the buffet, you have to desinfect your hands with alcohol, wear masks and use gloves. A little bit uncommon at first, but it fellt very comfortable and safe! This Hotel must have a nice Onsen, but we didn´t want to try it out in times of pandemic.
I got upgrade to Deluxe king room with genius program which is very satisfy, the room has a big space with sofa bed, dinner table and a kitchen!! but unluckily that we got room on the 3rd floor so we didn't have a nice view. The bus stop for airport bus just in front of the hotel. but a bit far from JR station, few minutes to nearest tram.
Three minute walk to the famous and popular Morning Market and seafood restaurants. Connected to the JR Hakodate station, convenience stores and restaurants within the building. We also walked from Otaru back to our hotel at night. Very nice walk. Convenient bus and taxi terminals in front of the train station.
Really good location, less than 10 min walk from the JR Hakodate station. There is also a tram station just in front of the hotel as well as a supermarket and McDonald's. Single rooms are small but have all the necessities. Free coffee and tea at the reception. Overall, nice hotel for short stays.
Quiet hotel with ocean view. Away from city center however bus stop 2 min walk for easy access to city and JR terminal. Breakfast and dinner buffet was awesome! Touted as biggest buffet in Hokkaido and I believe it. Roof top onsen with ocean view offering open air and private baths.
good location and very nice view of both bay and mountain we can see from the room. breakfast line is wonderful, even it’s quite packed as there are not enough seats considering room and guest number for the hotel but the food variety and quality can compensate.
Just beside the JR Hakodate station. The room is quite big and comfortable. nice room arrangements. they have the adaptor ti be borrowed. very near with a little food area and the Hakodate morning market. love this hotel. the onsen is good too.
- close proximity to JR hakodate station and Aeon shopping mall. - room is clean and furnished with the necessary amenities. - basically a value for money, no frills hotel.
Great location, very close to the bus terminal, JR train station, and tram. The room has enough space and amenities that you could ask for in a great hotel!
