JapanIt's an older place, but very well maintained and with some luxury touches. From the two door setup, large shower and tub, and window shades, i think this may have been a love hotel in the past, but it's now just a regular hotel. Extremely good value for price, would absolutely stay again.

Muroran has suffered as its industrial base has faded, but...
Muroran has suffered as its industrial base has faded, but if you enjoy geology, rock formations and walking, ignore all that because the coastal areas are worth a looksee. Itanki Beach is a fantastic walk beneath large cliffs - try to time your visit for low tide, which will enable you to walk to the sea caves that are inaccessible at high tide. (WEAR WALKING SHOES OR SNEAKERS and not sandals, as you have to walk atop some pretty rocky sections.) Other areas for short walks and viewing are near Tokkarisho Observatory and the Cape Chikyu lighthouse, the Cape Chikyu Green Walking Trail, and Charatsunai and Horaimon.
If you are hungry, consider Yakitori Ippei Nakajima, famous for its skewers of grilled pork and retro interior. A bit smoky at times but memorable.

I find most customers are local people.
I find most customers are local people. The environment is quiet. While I drive around the area, I don't see many cars and people. Most shop close around 7 or 8pm. So it is advisable to have dinner before 7pm.

There was a public onsen for guests and it is free. To enter the onsen, room card and code are required. After-bath service is drinking yogurt during the day and popsicle in the night time. The convenient store just right next to the hotel. It is a short walk to JR station.

Hotel was in a great location and has a car park across the road that you can park in overnight.
Room was really large, bathroom was a regular size unit bath and beds were comfortable.
