The place is very nice and the boat trip is a highlight of the trip. I would say they should start breakfast earlier. Also, the mosquitos here are crazy. You have been warned.

This place was super chill. the owner Rene was thoughtful and kind, Sephora made a delicious breakfast every day and Israel kept the place spiffy. kayaks and paddle boards available to explore the gorgeous blue fresh water lake. We had a 4 hour catamaran tour with Elise and Danny that included biology lesson and a beautiful fruit lunch. the cabanas are unique and quiet. the bathroom facilities are private but shared. sinks are communal outside. We liked so well we stayed an extra night. Taxis can be called to get a ride. we had a car so we went to Chetumal for evening meals.

It was a state-of-the-art stay, a dream come true. It’s a mystic, heart full place where you can do magic, because you are surrounded by God literally. Everything in Kokoro mio was made with love and respect, I could feel it and enjoy it. I’m an architect and fell in love with the delightful details everywhere: The respect for the place, the bamboo architecture, the amazing geometry of the amenities, the privacy, having taken a shower outdoors while listening to Johann Sebastian Bach, the magical taste of the food and the peaceful and the fascinating setting of lights by the night. The hosts and staff make the perfect fit, because they embody the philosophy of the place. We went on a trip to Bacalar for coming projects and we had this stay for inspiring ourselves. So, I highly recommend it for getting immerse in the love of the jungle, relax, get inspired and create. God in our hearts
