The size of the room was really good. We stayed with our daughter and the space was great. The room was on the tenth floor so amazing views. The hotel is 5-6 mins walk to the main station where you have access to Amsterdam easily.

Location is the main reason we choose this hotel. The room was modern and pretty clean.

The location is very close to the train station.the breakfast is good the room is clean
Excellent location. Stayed here instead of Amsterdam city because it was much cheaper and I am so glad I did! It was only 15 minutes on the train (train ticket cost around €4 and the trains were very frequent all day).
First thing I noticed when walking from the train was the smell of chocolate/cocoa in the air. The town felt safe and was quiet but then it got busy with tourists during the day. You just cross over the bridge where you can see around 5 or 6 windmills. Theres traditional Dutch houses, windmills, mini museums, Dutch cheese shop with lots of free samples, clogs museum/shop, you can hear the birds singing as you walk around it’s so lovely, I also got hot chocolate with the local cocoa and you could buy Zaanse Chocolate too which would be a great gift.
I stayed for 2 nights but only had 1 day to explore Zaandijk because I had other things planned in Amsterdam (tour to De Tulipje tulip farm and Keukenhof which I would also highly recommend for April). I spent around 3 hours walking around Zaanse Schans which would also make it a great free day trip if you are visiting Amsterdam

Cute Little windmill village.
Cute Little windmill village. Wonderful insight into Dutch life back in the old days. Quaint little shops to purchase memories, A wonderful cheese factory, Many antique shops, a wooden shoemaker, highlight the area. It is a favorite stop for sight seer's. Weekends are busy as tour buses are the norm.

Houses en-route from railway station to hotel with floral tiles set into narrow brick pavement - much more comfortable walking than cobblestones. Very limited shopping compensated by a superb SPAR corner shop with wide range of take away foods and gifts. Superb Zaanse Schans Windmills and rural industries open air park. Allow minimum four hours to visit half a dozen windmills which have very different functions.
Wonderful Restaurant/Bar in old butchers shop. Lifting bridge over River Zaan - the Chocolate river - opens just in time for commercial shipping to pass to and from Amsterdam.

Lovely place to stay away from the chaos of Amsterdam. 5 mins walk to train station and 15 mins on the train into central. Good walks around. Perfect cozy bar/restaurant just over the road which is very reasonable. Spar 2 mins away which seems everything and bakery behind it.
The location is amazing - close to Amsterdam city with train but in a lovely rural area with cows, lambs etc grazing. There's also a chocolate factory so the whole place smells of cocoa/chocolate! The view from the hotel's terrace & restaurants with windmills was simply amazing. Good Italian food served in the restaurant. Very friendly staff. Nice decor in the bathroom and comfortable beds.
The location of this house on the water with the view of the windmills is spectacular! We were lucky enough to be up to watch the sunrise over the windmills on the last day at 6am. Loved the ease of travel on the local train into Central Amsterdam, but being able to come back to the quiet and relaxed Zaandijk of an evening. Safe area with a few little bars and restaurants and local shop.
The location was perfect. Maby 400 meters to Zaanse Schans. The staff was very helpful. The room was good and has the view from the window on the windmill. Breakfast was very good. The hotel has a restaurant, where you can order a dinner if you hungry. Thank you for all. We had a wonderful stay in your hotel.
The hotel is in a beautiful location. The room is clean and comfortable. The staff is nice. The breakfast is plentiful. The entire settlement is tidy, with beautiful houses. I was impressed with the transport, so well organised. Thank you Boutique Hotel Zaan for a nice week. Thank you Holland!
