From the moment I drove up to the property it was a stunning sight. The small winding drive through trees lead to a picturesque view of a grand old double story brick house. I was met by Verne the owner who helped carry my luggage up to the house where I was also greeted by his Partner Belinda. The lodge is stunning retaining much of its period grandeur in way of furnishings. My room and facilities were clean and very comfortable. The view from my room overlooked paddocks and hills, very refreshing to be surrounded by country charm. The hosts were welcoming and friendly ensuring I had everything I needed as well as checking to see what time I would like breakfast.
