If I could score this accommodation with a + or a * (to show this particular property is special) I absolutely would because this apartment is perfect in every way. It’s spacious, peaceful, has absolutely everything you need and a perfect place to switch off and unwind. Kylie, the host, has thought of every detail to make your stay blissful. I absolutely loved the lavender soap and the bed linen as particular luxuries. If we lived locally we would absolutely book in for a regular stay! Thank you so much 😊

I was there to attend the PKW shareholders 1/2 yearly...

I was there to attend the PKW shareholders 1/2 yearly meeting on Saturday morning at Aotearoa marae and the 50 year celebration cabaret in Hawera Saturday night at the TSB Sports Hub. It was also great and the highlight to arrive home in Hawera on Friday 10th April 2026 to go to our whanau urupa first and foremost and to later attend with 20 whanau & friends kai and drinks at The Burnt Place Bar & Kitchen 191 High St to remember 30yrs to the day of the passing of my beautiful Mama returning home to spirit. one night as a stopover between Waikanae and Hamilton to break the drive up is really great. only thing we missed was the museum as we didn't stay long enough. apparently that is really quite something. next time?

The journey en route from New Plymouth To Hawera passing the legendary view of Mt Taranaki. We visited the Hawera Museum and it's great experience for the kids on visiting the history of Taranaki.

Hawera is a town of 8,000 people but it seems a lot more.

Hawera is a town of 8,000 people but it seems a lot more. A rural town with a very country feel it has modern amenities and lots of different food options to choose from. You're 10mins from the beach & 15mins to the country. You have access to Maunga Taranaki and also Dawson Falls. Explore, unwind & relax in Gods Country 🙏🏽

Just a quick overnight stay.

Just a quick overnight stay. It coincided with a well put together celebration of Mat ariki but not called that, just a mid-winter celebration. It was winding down as the drums filled with wood to create warmth and ambience had not lasted the distance. The town had obviously come out for it, families and young people mostly. Stalls, food trucks live entertainment. Well done for whomever was the brains behind it. Bought dinner from the pizza place central on the high street opposite an open courtyard area that had a solitary swing hanging. Food was good but took rather a long time.

Easy to get to coast and to National Park.

Easy to get to coast and to National Park. Good sized town with a choice of churches on Sunday and restaurants during the days we were there. We ate at Rough Habits and The Burnt Place - interesting names but good international food choices

The unit was clean and tidy, looked like it had a recent refurbishment. Parking to our unit was right at the back door, as promised when we booked. The front of the unit opens onto a lawn, looking into the units on the other side though still felt private. When we returned around 8pm, it appears that they cater for truck drivers overnighting in Hawera, though we had a good nites sleep and were not disturbed when they left presumably early the next morning. The Check in was friendly and we left the key in the unit the next morning when we left.

We stayed in the 1 bedroom unit, it was clean, tidy and comfortable. Felt more like home that a hotel room. Beds were comfy and water pressure was good. Plenty of space in the rooms. Hosts are fantastic and more than accommodating for our 16 month old and supplied a cot with blankets, high chair, mess mat and a non slip pad for the bath.Room was serviced every day and restocked. Would 100 percent stay here again.
