AustraliaWhat a wonderful place to stop for the night. We stayed in one of the cabins which was compact but very comfortable. The shared facilities were fantastic, very clean with everything you need. Amazing views and 25 min hike up to the waterfall was lovely.

Village in a beautiful setting near native forest park and overlooking Lake Brunner. A small number of occupied original houses and lots of new modern holiday homes that would likely be busy in the Summer water-skiing season. Neat historic railway buildings. It is a wonderful spot and surprisingly didn't cost the earth. We ate in the Lodge and the food was excellent. The lodge and the owners are wonderful. Nice and quiet before Christmas, afterwards gets very busy with holiday makers, good walking tracks around the area. Great place if you have a boat, water skiing etc. Greymouth is only 25 minutes away if you need to go to a supermarket i.e. Countdown and New World.
