I was very happy with my stay there. The staff was incredibly helpful, friendly and professional. Even though most of the staff did not speak English and I did not speak my Portuguese, we still communicated well with each other. I so appreciated the owner's consideration for my comfort and his staff seems to have the same sentiment. The location is away from the noises of the city which adds to the therapeutic feeling while you're there. You can easily drive to Coimbra about 20 minutes away and enjoy the quiet roads along the way. The restaurant is classy and has a big menu. I ordered the sliced cod which ended up being too salty and fishy-tasting. I don't know if it is the recipe or if the recipe needs to be adjusted. The service was excellent and their wine selection is impressive.

The whole complex is almost brand new and clean. Location is really isolated and quiet, very nice. Excellent hosts, breakfast and outstanding river beach a short walk from property.

Everything was top notch. From the start I was surprised by how the owners invest and care about their property. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was varied and very tasty. The location was quiet, close to the places I wanted to visit. There is a special charm to the place - there is a riverwalk nearby, the church bells had a nice sound and I had a balcony to relax at the end of the day. The owners were very welcoming and nice. So, everything was really perfect. I did not use the pool but it was very inviting given I visited during summer. Everything is very well taken care of. If you a looking for a special place to stay, I would definitely visit them.

The location overlooking a river valley was wonderful. Was able to park adjacent to the property and follow a short walk up to the door. Peaceful with sounds of the river overnight.

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful countryside property and cannot recommend this experience enough! The whole house is beautifully decorated with a very personal touch and is even better than it looks in the pictures. It is situated in a wonderfully peaceful and quiet area, yet it is just a short distance from the nearby small city, making it the perfect balance of calm and convenience. Everything about the property looks very carefully designed for relaxation, allowing guests to truly unwind and enjoy a slow, calm rhythm. Our bedroom on the ground floor was very spacious and opened up onto a very nice balcony in front of the pool. The host, Denise, is kind, welcoming, genuine, and incredibly efficient. Her hospitality went above and beyond—she "treat-ed" us with fresh fruit straight from her trees and even surprised us with a delicious homemade banana bread to take along for our journey on the day of our departure! Honestly, we loved being her guests, and also loved getting to know her friendly cat and dog too (who you don't have to worry about since they are also extremely discreet ;)). We would definitely stop by again if we are in the area!
