The female owner was extremely friendly and helpful. I was walking the Camino and I left early. She offered me a breakfast package containing everything I needed (fruit juices, water, sandwich, croissant, cake, 2 pieces of fruit, chocolate). Her English is fluent so it was very easy to communicate. Definitely recommend going here if you're walking the Camino

Clean. Property seemed new. It is a family owned and run hotel and the service was excellent. Room was comfortable, and they will even wash your clothes for a small fee. Great for us Camino pilgrims. Beatriz was helpful offering recommendations about restaurants and things to do.

Nice complex overall. My room was clean and comfortable; it had a balcony with a nice view. The environment is very peaceful. The complex also had a central patio and dining hall. It is a good place for groups. Breakfast was generous.

Absolutely the BEST Albergue experience ever. I was walking with a friend who had a booking in another place a bit further down the road, whom the kindest hosts not only invited in for a break, but even to spend a good while chilling in the amazing pool in the backyard. You can really tell you're with a host who cares, about the pilgrims, about the Camino, and about the community. Facilities were top notch too, absolutely nothing to put a finger on. They also have a bar where you can buy drinks at a good price, and they serve amazing and fulfilling dinner at a super fair price. I'd rarely recommend going out of your way to try and spend a night on a Camino in any specific place, but if anywhere, this'd be the one.

Located within 22 miles of Estación Maritima and a 1-minute walk of Capela do Bom Jesus, Hostel Bulwark has rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Valença.
