If I could give 100 stars I would, this hotel is AMAZING. My husband and I booked this last minute on our way from Porto to Lisbon, we wanted to see the rivers and countryside, and it was the highlight of our trip so far. It is off the beaten path but it is absolutely worth it, rooms are immaculately clean, huge and beautiful, the property is gorgeous and maintained like a pristine Villa, the pool overlooks an amazing valley with crystal clear rivers 5 minutes away, staff is so so friendly and helpful, and the included breakfast is delicious. Really cannot say enough about this place, we only stayed one night but if we would have known about this place sooner we would have stayed MUCH longer and it was so hard to leave, there is so much to explore around. Take the extra trip, it is absolutely worth it.

Everything about our stay was fantastic. The breakfast was exceptional, one of the best we’ve had anywhere. Grandma Isabella makes the most wonderful homemade jams and breakfast pastries, fresh, full of flavour and clearly made with love. Every morning was something to look forward to. Sandra welcomed us in and guided us in everystep. The house is beautiful and has a story depicted in every corner. What made the stay truly special was the feeling of being at home. We were welcomed like family, the atmosphere was warm and relaxed, and every detail had been thought of. The hospitality was genuine, attentive and never intrusive, and it’s rare to find a place with so much heart. We left feeling rested, well looked after and already planning our return. We’d highly recommend it to anyone who wants more than just a place to sleep, and wants real hospitality and memories to take home. Our room was super clean, the owner was incredibly nice and the breakfast was cozy and tasty and even allowed us to connect with the other guests and share stories. Although the hotel is located in a small village, all the locals where super nice and I really feel this is a place worth to be known and experienced. This is indeed one of the perfect examples of how to leverage the hidden portions of our country and bring them back to life! Amazing! (Last photo is the view from our room!)
