I have been to this hotel 3 past times and they never disappoint. Breakfast is fresh and beautiful and the staff are always so accommodating. The restaurant around the back side of the hotel is one of the best in Slovenia!! I always eat there once before leaving, sensational.

Beautiful apartment with hospitable & genuinely friendly hosts that went way beyond our expectations. If you stay here (& you'll be missing a treat if you don't!!) be sure to take up the offer of going truffle foraging with Eric & Fendi, & then enjoy the best pasta (with truffles of course) that you will ever taste! The hotel rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is friendly. Check-in is until 10:00 PM, but we warned that we would arrive 40 minutes later and the staff waited for us. Excellent breakfast with a large selection of healthy food, lots of fruit.

    Divača is a quiet town/village on the railwy line between...

    Divača is a quiet town/village on the railwy line between Ljubljana and Koper. It is very close to both Lipica and to skočjanske Jame. These caves are my favourites in Slovenia, although not to be visited if you have a problem walking.. The park surrounding the caves is very beautiful too. Divača itself is quiet, but has a Cinema museum, which is popular with those interested in early silent films. There area few trains three each day, and also a bus service during the week. Not at the weekend, however, as I found to my cost on another occasion when I drove a friend's car home for her - and then found there were no buses on Saturdays by which to travel back to the coast!, and the next train would have kept me late for my meeting. Luckily, there were others around to heading the same way. While Skočjam and Lipica are open all year, there are also smaller caves in the area which are open only in the tourist season. To drive there from the coast takes about 30 minutes, and about the same driving time will take you to Postojna and the more famous caves there, or to Predjamskigrad, an amazing Castle , most of which is inside the mountain, hence its name - the castle in front of the cave.

    The room was a lovely size, loved the little patio outside the room, with a table and chairs. The buffet breakfast was good, with plenty of choice. A good location for the caves, easy walking distance through the forest, the path was sign posted and enjoyable. Easy walking distance to restaurants and the supermarkets, we are in a local pizzeria and the restaurant owned by the hotel, both were good.

    Nicely furnished small apartment with everything you need for your stay. The location is in the quiet village, which is great for peaceful break and a great base for sports activities and exploring the natural beauty of the karst (Škocijan caves, Divača cave, Lipica etc). The host was very friendly and helpful.

    The hostel is located in historical house 3 min walk from the caves and forest trail. Very welcoming and lovely host Paula drived me to the nearest shop in Divaca when I had arrived. She also drived me to the train station on my last day. I really enjoyed my stay there
