The decor, the setting, the comfortable bed, the staff, the breakfast and the fact the chef created a five course vegetarian dinner for us “off menu” that was out of this world delicious. This is a wonderful place to rest and recharge or to use as a base for exploring lakes and mountains.

It was absolutely beautiful, clean, amazing breakfast, and the staff were lovely and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Would stay again and absolutely recommend staying here. Definitely recommend getting a rental car though, as I did not have one and had a bit of trouble getting around the area.

Nice family-run hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the location is absolutely amazing as a starting point for hiking, mountain biking, and various sports. I loved their sauna and made good use of it. The sauna goes hot enough (this can be problematic at some other hotels, but here it can be regulated, so that's really good). Actually, they have a whole nice little spa, and I really appreciated how they decorated it to look like a cave. The restaurant offers really nice dinners, comparable to a fine dining experience. The waiter was really knowledgeable, charming, and able to recommend wine and food that go really well together. The breakfast is simple and doesn't paralyze you with too many choices, and offers high-quality sustenance so you can start your day to enjoy everything this breathtaking region has to offer.

    We stayed in Bled for a couple of days before moving to Lake Bohinj, on reflection, we preferred Lake Bohinj to Bled, it was less busy, quieter, and if we wanted was in each reach of Bled for a visit. If we went back again we would stay in Bohinj as a base and move around from there.

    For those who love nature, quietness, hiking, water activities, nature wonders, local traditions, kind people, nice beaches, swimming, and on top would like to experiment flying like birds (paragliding) ! Do not hesitate, come visit Bohinj. And plan to stay long to enjoy all what it offers.

    Lake Bohinj and Redcev Laz are beautiful places to stay. Walk around the lake - easy walking most of the way with some tricky rocks at one place. There are benches along the way. Must walk the Mostnica gorge which is best reached from a car park through Stara Furzina. It is really beautiful! Also take the cable car up Mt Vorge, the views are astounding. We took the bus into lake Bled to save the worry of where to park - very cheap bus fare. Found lake bled pretty but more touristy than lake Bohinj, less natural. The final trip you must make is to Vintgar gorge. Park for free in the P1 carpark, shuttle bus to the gorge and entry for 15 EUR. Excellent and wonderful scenery. Enjoy!!

    This is a place that is about affordable for most people.

    This is a place that is about affordable for most people. Accorodingly, you can expect crowds if you get there in high season and, unfortunately, perhaps not the best educated crowd. This can be compensated by the scenic view you have everywhere, literally.

    The location of Bohinj is absolutely magical.

    The location of Bohinj is absolutely magical. Within walking distance of Lake Behinj and you can also walk to the Savica waterfall, but also to the Slap Mostnica waterfall (the oposite direction of the house). We tried restaurant Gostilna Ema and we don't recommend. Unfortunately we chose this restaurant over a local restaurant on the last day before departure and it was a mistake. The staff was nice but the selection of food was small and it didn't taste very good.

    The location is absolutely fantastic , just between Bled lake and Bohinj lake both absolutely amazing regions to explore. Within minutes by car you can reach Bistrica Bohinj where there are quite some restaurant options and a supermarket. The house has a little area outside where we spent the evenings with a glass of wine. The host was super nice and friendly, she gave us recommendation of what to visit near by but also in Slovenia. She warned us about stores being closed on Sundays too.

    Absolutely perfect place to stay- hotel is beautiful, restaurant and terrace is awesome and rooms also. From hotel there is view to Bohinj lake and all the mountains around, You can rent a bicycle here and all the stuff was very kind. Definitely the most beautiful stay while our stay Slovenia - in this price level there was not better one. To lake and village it is very short walk. Best of all is breakfasts! You'll love it!

    Such a magical setting surrounded by mountains, trails, rivers and lakes. The host is just fantastic so knowledgeable and informative about Slovenia and the Bohinj area. She goes out of her way to be accommodating and takes care with plenty small touches around the house to appreciate and enjoy. The welcoming schnapps was also a real winner :)
