We were extremely satisfied with the hotel and hotel services. The hotel definitely deserves 5 stars. The garden, pool, restaurant, and Cafe were very clean and the staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and nice. The room was comfy and big with complimentary snacks and drinks daily. The hotel is close to the city center/night market (cca 10-15min walking). This hotel serves the best coffee we had in Thailand. The food in the restaurant was delicious and fresh with a lot of varieties (mango sticky rice, roti, and fresh fruits for breakfast). The hotel provides a free shuttle to the airport.

FAQs about hotels in Chiang Mai

The Rose of the North

Surrounded by Thailand’s highest mountains, Chiang Mai is the beloved, idyllic and somewhat mystical capital of the North. With more than 300 temples, it's considered one of the most important cultural centers in the country.

Despite being Thailand's fifth-largest city, Chiang Mai still has a relaxed and laid-back feel. Modernity, trendy shops and boutique hotels haven’t altered much of its picturesque and peaceful atmosphere.

This reputation is partly due to its proximity to lush green areas, mountains like Doi Suthep, and its panoramic Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep temple. The Doi Inthanon National Park is 37 miles away with Thailand’s highest mountain.

Hotels in Chiang Mai’s old city center are a popular choice, with picturesque scenery featuring its moat and older temples. Chiang Mai hotels can also be found around the Chang Klhan Rd, where the famous Night Bazaar takes place.

The city’s nightlife runs along the Loi Kroh Rd, while Ratchadamneon Road hosts the main Sunday night pedestrian market. Don’t forget to buy an umbrella from Bo Sang and eat a bowl of kao soi.

Whether you arrive at Chiang Mai International Airport or come by land from Bangkok, don’t miss "The Rose of the North" deals on Booking.com!

Such a beautiful northern city within easy reach of the mountains, full of history, art and heritage. Fabulous places to eat and drink on every street. Brilliant markets with endless food options and great live music. Plenty of places to get a Thai massage, very reasonably priced. It's easy to fly to Chiang Mai, but why not take the train as we did! - a stunning scenic journey from Bangkok (10 hours but it went by quickly!) ... Chiang Mai is also a safe city with a very low crime rate. We felt safe walking the streets, whatever time of day or night. While you're there I especially recommend taking a cookery course - great fun and naturally delicious!

I like the mix of old and new, ancient temples and clean modern facilities. There's lots of great food all around the city, khao soi is a must. Try the pork leg at the night food market across from the north gate. I walked everywhere. It's a little hot, but easily walkable. Definitely see Wat Chedi Luang and attend the Monk chat. Learn about Buddhism and help the monks practice English. Walk around the walled city and visit some of the lesser-known temples.

A fascinating city to visit, the temples are a must, especially Wat Chiang Man and Wat Chet Yot. The food is excellent, go visit the Anthony Bourdain eateries and try the Khao Soi ? I recommend paying a visit to the Hill Tribe museum: they’ve got exhibitions and mock-up houses from the 13 registered hill tribes in Thailand.

The staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Even though we have checked out they invited us back to make Krathong for the festival at the hotel. The location was great - very central in the old city. The night market was 2 minutes away and there are plenty of restaurants in walking distance. Laundry service was great. Breakfast was included. Beds very comfortable and tea and coffee, water available. But the best thing was the staff - so helpful and friendly.
